  • Sensory Learning at Its Best

    Funded Oct 9, 2018

I am so thankful for these sensory tools that you provided for my students. There are several students that needed the weighted vests to calm down where they could concentrate on the lesson being taught. The vests have made a big difference in the amount to learning those students as well as others in the class. They are able to concentrate and not be constantly be moving which disturbs other students. The therapy band provides the students that are always tapping their feet a way to let their need for movement be fulfilled. They bounce their foot on it instead of the floor, cutting way down on classroom noise. We have been able to organize many of our classroom supplies where each area of study is all together making it easier to find things. The students work so hard to get a small piece of candy or a pretzel for their hard work. You have helped in so many ways to increase the students ability to learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sanderock

  • See What We Did

    Funded Oct 28, 2019

My students were so excited when they were able to print the projects they were working on. They made posters showing the items that were needed and items they wanted to fit within their budget and how their money has to be spent on required things first. They were able to do videos of some of their projects and interview teachers and classmates about subjects they were studying. I would like to thank you for your great interest in the students today and providing them with the tools to make educating them more exciting with these tools.”

  • Where Does All the Money Go?

    Funded Oct 21, 2019

I would like to thank you so very much for your donation that allowed my students to have the use of the iPad and chrome book where they could practice their math skills and take Accelerated Reader tests. With so many things online these days it has been so important for my students to have these to complete their work.

I am so thankful and appreciative of your interest in providing these important materials for my students. When the new chrome book came in the students would fuss over having it as the other one is old and doesn't run as well.

Thank you for being our classroom angel.”

  • It's Snowing Rewards: Earning a Snow Ball

    Funded Oct 14, 2019

I would like to thank you for providing this snow cone machine for our students. It was purchased to provide rewards for students that achieved the incentive for that week or month depending upon the task. Attendance has been a real problem and using rewards such as this have helped with getting students to miss less school and therefore able to learn more. I am so glad that so many felt that this was an important goal for our students to reach for and having the snow cone machine has helped with our incentive program.”

  • Color the World With Tye-Dye

    Funded Oct 22, 2018

I would like to thank all those that made this fun learning experience possible. After studying how to make the design they wanted on their shirt they learned how to blend the dye from the colors they wanted. It was so fun watching the students so into what they were doing. They would tell other students on campus how to make the kind of shirt they made and how others they could have made different kinds but why they chose what they did. They had to learn patience as they wanted it finished shortly after they put on the dye.”

  • Help! Classroom Needs Supplies

    Funded Oct 16, 2018

Thank you so much for providing the headphones for my students. Students do remediation lessons on Chromebooks or Computers when they don't get a standard we have studied and they need more help with that concept. With having a set of headphones for each student they are able to work on materials that will help them master concepts they are having difficulty with and not disturb their classmates.

The Expo markers are used often as we work out math problems on our table using it like a white board. The students love the fact they get to use the markers and therefore will work out more problems. I will write problems they are solving on the table where I can keep my face toward the students instead of my back. You have made things so much better in our resource class.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sanderock

  • Help, Tools Needed for Work

    Funded Jul 24, 2018

I would like to thank you so much for the headphones. Each student now has a headset for only them to use. Each day we use the computer they get their bag, go to the computer or chromebook and start their work saving time trying to find the headphones they would like to use. Hopefully this will cut down on illnesses and allow students to not miss so many days at school. We use the markers everyday as the students like to work out problems on the table instead of paper. It is more fun to practice what we are learning on the table instead of paper and it makes them want to do practice more. It is greatly appreciated how you care for our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sanderock

  • Hands On Learning Can Be Fun

    Funded Dec 19, 2017

I would like to let the wonderful people that have helped make these things a reality for our classroom how much we have benefited from having the bookcases, Drimel and Versa Tiles. The students have worked so much harder with the Versa Tiles because they love to see the pattern that they make if they have correctly answered all the questions. They look forward to completing them so much that they are asking if they can do another one. Students wanting more work doesn't happen very often. When we are working on materials that don't included them they are disappointed.

We have been able to organize our materials much better with the use of the bookcases. The materials are divided neatly by subject now since the space is there to organize the closet.

Students have loved learning new words when they get to write them on pallets with the Drimel. These things have made coming to Resource so much more fun and we thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sanderock

  • Communication For All!

    Funded Oct 23, 2017

My students have enjoyed using the highlight tape to help find the root words, red words, verbs, adjectives, that we have been studying. When learning is fun they are more focused on what they are doing and therefore learn much more from the lesson.

I used the Power Net several times in the fall with my non verbal student and she really was doing well with it. She went into the hospital in December and never recovered and passed away just recently. The device was working well with her and we were making progress. I am putting it on the shelf for my next student that would benefit from the use of a switch.

Thank you so much for helping with my students needs as there isn't enough money to provide much of the learning tools that help my students use their learning style to learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sanderock

  • Learning About Money Costs Money

    Funded Oct 16, 2017

It has been great having these materials for our classroom. The students are so much more excited about doing their work when they are able to check their work using the Versa Tiles. The amount of concentration they have when doing their work has increased also. These have been a great addition to our class.

The students have been working hard on making posters to show the things they have been learning. Having the larger printer has been great to display things around the campus. Thank you so very much for providing these for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sanderock

I have a special education classroom of 5th and 6th grade students that are eager to learn in their own way. My students are in need of that extra support to help them with their difficulty focusing and learning using most traditional teaching methods. The school is a high poverty school with the entire school on a free lunch program. Students need supplies for class because they lack the resources needed to obtain them. Students need access to hands on activities such as I-pads, computers, learning activities and many things that are out of reach for these students.
