  • Station Time

    Funded Sep 7, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom and this project. One of my students favorite stations this last year has been the magnetic building tiles. I love watching them get to be creative and work together to make lots of different things. They have also really loved the fun and comfy floor cushions. Their favorite place to use them is in the writing station at our floor table. I can't begin to thank you enough for your support. Without you and donors like you, our classroom just wouldn't be the same.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jordan

  • Transforming our Space

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations to our classroom project. Having the theme decorations has made a world of difference in my students excitement for each new unit. They just can't wait to see what our room will transform into next. Their engagement has been greatly increased and I have really seen the difference in retention of the content that is being taught. It's truly so fun to see their little faces light up when they walk in and see a whole new classroom environment ready for them to deep dive into a new unit.”

  • Class Store Refill

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom project. The craft supplies were so much fun for my students. We were able to make several holiday ornaments and complete lots of fun projects using the materials. My students have also really enjoyed the magnatiles during our class station rotations. I've had so much fun watching them get to be creative and seeing all of the fun ideas they have been able to come up with. I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I am for your support!”

  • Learning With a Full Belly

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you so much for your thoughtful donations to our classroom project. I can't imagine trying to focus in class at such a young age with a grumbling belly. With your help we have been able to provide many yummy and nutritious snacks for my students to enjoy throughout the day. A hungry belly is not something student should have to worry about during the school day. Food is essential need that four, five, and six year olds should have access to. Not all of my students have the food they need at night or on the weekends, causing some of them to receive food bags on Friday afternoons. I am so thankful to be able to provide snacks in the school day to them as well.”

  • Keeping Warm

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations to my classroom project. A lot of times it does not get very cold here in East Texas during the winter months and my students do not have what they need to stay warm when it is cold. My students were so excited to have the hats, gloves, and warm socks to wear. I was so excited to see many of my students wearing these items all winter long. I could truly tell that they were very appreciated and utilized during the cold winter months. Your help is so appreciated!”

  • Working for Our Goal

    Funded Oct 5, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations to my classroom project. Being able to provide these items to my students during the holidays to keep them motivated has been an amazing experience. Have seen my students work harder during this time than I've ever seen past classes work before. I think their favorite items has been the little stuffed animal puppies. Even once I pick a prize, they can't wait to keep working hard. They can come back and choose another one. Goalsetting with my kindergartners has been such a great experience that I will continue to do in the following years.”

  • Help Keep Us Learning

    Funded May 5, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom project. These resources will really help my students continue to grow and learn throughout the summer so that they do not have that huge summer slide that most students experience. We all want them to be as successful as possible going into the first grade and these items will help them do just that. Students do not always have the opportunity to read during the summer because I do not have access to books. I'm so excited to be able to lend these books to our students for the summer so that they can continue to read.”

  • Ideas Coming to Life

    Funded Mar 2, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations to our classroom project for a 3D printer, tools, and the filament that goes with it. This has been such a unique item to get to have access to in our classroom. My students love watching at the machine slowly builds what we have created on the computer screen. I can't begin to tell you how blessed we are to have the amazing support of kind donors like yourselves and so many others on donors choose. Our classroom is better each day because of people like you”

  • Motivation Is Key

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind donations to our classroom project. My students have absolutely loved having the extra comfy seating for our daily station rotation. They use them every day in several different stations. Conversation chips and a wonderful addition to our morning meeting. My students are begging to be the one to choose a chip for the day each day. Adding in a fun conversation starter has really helped my English language learners gain confidence in their speaking skills with their classmates.”

I teach in a high poverty neighborhood, in East Texas, where most of my students are English language learners. They all work very hard despite the many challenges they face at home, challenges that I couldn't imagine facing as an adult, let alone as a child. Because of their hard work throughout the year they are able to make great gains in their reading, listening and speaking skills. However, there is still more work to be done in order to become proficient. Many of my students don't have access to this type of technology at home and they would be very excited to use the Nooks. The enjoyment of the Nooks will turn into an enjoyment of reading.
