• Headphones Needed Asap

  We are so excited to have our new headphones! Each of my 26 second graders now has their own pair to use while learning on their Chromebooks. They love playing math fact games and listening to stories, which both require sound! Our new headphones have allowed for a much more manageable and cleaner option than sharing headphones among students. They are comfortable and adjustable so they fit each student well. Thank you so much for providing these for us. They have already made a big difference in our classroom!”

• Out With Chalk, in With Expo!

  Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! Our new whiteboard is magnificent! Before, we had a very small whiteboard to write on, and a very large chalkboard that was no longer functional. We could write on it, but erasing it was impossible! Now, we have our new giant whiteboard and our smaller one, so we have a writeable surface on both sides of our classroom screen. We use our new whiteboard all day, for phonics, math, writing, science, and social studies. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity!”

• Classroom Rug for Comfortable Learning!

  I cannot thank you enough for supporting our classroom by donating to this project. Having a larger classroom rug has made such an amazing difference in our daily lives! With twenty-six students, we were so crowded on our old rug, which was causing discomfort and behavior issues. With our new rug, my students can spread out and be comfortable during our whole-group lessons! We do all of our whole-group learning on our new classroom rug because my students are able to stay much more focused when they are all in one space and near me while I'm teaching. • Odds & Ends to Start the Year!

  Thank you so much for supporting our last-minute project to start off the 2024-2025 school year! Our new classroom seat cushions are loved by my second graders, and they fit perfectly at our low floor table. We thoroughly enjoyed reading the books in the Spoon series, and had a lot of fun doing activities to go with each book! The Command Hooks that you provided have been essential in storing some of our flexible seating options. It's the little things like these that make a big difference! • Help Strengthen Our Science and Social Studies!

  I cannot express enough how wonderful it has been to have these science and social studies resources at my fingertips this school year! Instead of piecing lessons together to try to meet each standard, I now have complete units that I am able to teach, with slides, activities, and student workbooks. Our first science unit was all about matter and included fun experiments like building structures and testing changes in states of matter with freeze pops! • Let's Do the Wave (Seat)!

  Thank you so much for supporting our classroom with this project. We have received our new Wave seats and are getting to know them! So far, we like that we can sit on them in several different ways, and that they work for those of us with long legs AND those of us with short legs! They make up the seating at our "teacher table" where we meet for small group intervention lessons so students use them daily. They fit in perfectly in our classroom full of flexible seating, and give my second graders another spot to work and be comfortable. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. • Second Grade Slippers!

  I cannot thank you enough for your support with this project! Implementing classroom slippers has been on my mind for years, and I have finally done it. It is wonderful for so many reasons. First, our classroom floor is clean and sanitary! We sit on it a lot during the day so this is important. Next, all students have comfortable, safe footwear to wear during the day. In the past, some students would have to wear their big winter boots all day or others would come in unsafe shoes such as high heels. Finally, it has added to our sense of community in our classroom by making it feel a little more like home.

• A Bookcase for Our Books!

  Thank you so much for supporting my second graders and our classroom! Our classroom library is huge, with so many books! Second graders always come to me with a wide range of reading abilities, so I need to keep quite the selection of books on hand to meet everyone's needs.

  Our new bookcase has allowed us to store so many more books in an organized, accessible way, while not taking up too much space! Our classroom is always a busy, bustling place, so this space-saving bookcase has been perfect. Thank you again for your generous support!”

• More Math Please!

  Thank you so much for your donation to our project! We received an huge box full of math puzzles, games, and manipulatives. My second graders have been using them in small groups of 2-3 during our math workstation time! They have especially loved the counting money puzzles because that is something that we just learned about! Using puzzles and games like these are such a fun way for them to practice their skills, especially since they are cooperating and working together. • Delightful Decodable Books

  Thank you so much for your donation to our project! We received an entire box full of decodable books for our classroom library. Decodable books are books in which ALL of the words contain phonics rules that my students have learned, so they are able to read all of the words independently. The decodable books that we received are at a wide range of different reading levels, so now all of my students have reading materials that are just right for them. Independent reading is so important in second grade. Thank you for making it possible in our classroom!”
