Differentiate With Technology
Funded Dec 10, 2015Thank you so much for purchasing an iPad mini and case for my kindergarten students. Technology is the way of the future and unfortunately our schools do not have the funding to keep up with the times. There are so many amazing apps and teaching tools on the iPads that help reinforce the teaching I am doing in class.
We currently have five iPad minis in our classroom and they are utilized every minute! The students love to make PicCollages with our sight words and writing assignments. The students also use math and reading apps to help work on the areas that they may need additional support. The kids' faces light up when I pull the iPads out of the cabinet. They don't even know they are learning and growing!
All of the kids are benefiting from your donation, but the students who are struggling use the iPads daily. It is a great way for me to individualize and meet the needs of each student. There is not enough time in the day for me to sit down with each student every day, but I can meet every child's needs with the use of technology. Thank you for making this possible!”

Elementary Engineering
Funded Nov 15, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donations to fund the straws and connectors for my classroom. My kindergarten students have had such a great time exploring different structures with them. The class was recently given challenges to build the tallest and strongest structures. I was so amazed at their vocabulary (words like foundation, tools, materials, strength) and their creativity. There were impressive towers all over our science lab that could touch the ceiling. The kids built them without ladders or stools. I watched in amazement as they went to work. Each team was engaged and working together to create their towers.
It is because of people like you that students are able to explore, invent, and create. Unfortunately there is no funding for extras, or even necessities, anymore. My class was able to use their imagination and background knowledge to be engineers. Thank you for helping build the future of our world. There are so many possibilities with a little extra support from the public. It is much appreciated.”
