The items I have chosen for my students I have selected because our district is implementing a new phonics program. I 100% believe in this program and have dived head first into implementing it. The reason I have selected these certain items is because I believe that they will help me give my students a deeper meaning of phonics, of letters, vowels, vowel teams, letter blends, and diagraphs. They will also be able to manipulate sounds and letters to enforce the lessons being taught in the classroom. This will support the student as they learn to become skilled readers. The reading process can be hard, and these tools will help those students who struggle with the print or students who have abstract learning styles. I would use these with small group, whole group and remote learning instruction. These materials will allow me to implement best practices in reading.
