Flipping for Flexible Seating
Funded Nov 16, 2017First of all, thank you so much for your generous donation. Because of people like you, I have been able to be more innovative with my classroom. The flexible seating that we added as almost completed my classroom transformation.
Flexible seating has so many positive effects on students. First, it makes learning more fun! Second, it enables kids to sustain attention for longer periods of time. And lastly, it helps with retention.
My students are able to be more successful because of people like you!”

Funded Oct 25, 2016Thank you so much for the flexible seating options. My students are so thrilled for all the possibilities they now have for our classroom.
It's amazing what a difference it has made. I am so used to them moving around and being able to focus in the classroom, that I don't notice the impact until they have to sit in regular sitting in a different setting.
I can't wait to start a new project and add even more options to my classroom. Thank you again for helping my students succeed in their education and helping them focus more in school.”

Flexible Seating for Moving Students
Funded Sep 22, 2016Thank you so much for the flexible seating options. My students use them every day. The top group gets to vote for their seats the following week which is also a huge behavior motivator.
My students were so excited each day that our flexible seating arrived. They wondered what it would be like, talked about their favorite options at lunch, and ran home to tell their parents all about them.
Now that they the options are in place in the classroom, I definitely see an increase in attention and ability to work for prolonged periods of time. I am hoping in time to purchase more for our small group instruction tables and completely flip our classroom.”

Funded Dec 30, 2015My students were so thrilled when we got our book bins. They knew that their precious books were going to be protected and their bins would break anymore. They were jumping up and down when the the boxes arrived.
Now the students can get their bins every morning and bring them right next to their desks without them tipping over and breaking.
This project will transcend years because my new third graders will be able to use them. It will be wonderful to start the year off with good quality materials to keep our books in tip top shape.”

Funded May 29, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donation last spring. I have been able to implement the ipad with my students this school year and it has been such a blessing. There are so many apps for the students to practice key skills. Also, it has helped me to enhance my instruction. I have been able to hook the ipad up to my Apple TV and mirror apps on the interactive white board. One particular app that has been helpful is Board Cam. I can snap pictures of text and mirror it on the IWB. Then I can model for the students how to annotate and mark up their text. The possibilities are endless with apple technology.
Thank you so much again!!!”

Funded Sep 30, 2015Thank you so much for taking an interest in our project. Schools thrive on individuals, such as yourselves, that help schools go one step further.
Having these Ipads in our room has changed the atmosphere. The students are truly 21st century learners. No more do we practice our math facts with paper pencil. Students get on the Ipads almost every day to practice these facts. The apps track their progress too and throw facts in that the students need to practice more. It truly helps differentiate the instruction for our students.
During Reading Workshop you won't see students huddled around an old tape or CD player. Instead, students are using the Ipads to listen to and read books. Society todays reads E books and the schools should be reflective of that. Again, students are assigned to books on their reading level so it allows me to differentiate for those students.
Thank you again for your help and for your desire to help our classroom.”

Ipod Touch For Checking Out Classroom Library Books
Funded Feb 1, 2014My students were so excited when we received our new ipod touch! Having extra technology in the classroom helps to enhance our instruction and makes the students more eager to learn!
The ipod touch allows us to do multiple extra things in our classroom that we were not able to do before. I have used the ipod to scan all of my classroom library books into an app called "Classroom Organizer." I then added each of my students so now they can use the ipod to scan out books and take them home. This maximizes the reading that they are doing now that they can take my books home to read. It also helps me keep track of my books too so I can have them for next year's students.
In addition to getting more books in their hands, the ipod has great apps that enhance learning. My students can use the dictionary apps to look up unknown words while they are reading or type a word in to listen to how its pronounced. There are also lots of educational apps that the students enjoy doing as anchor activities (early finisher activities).
My students are so blessed that we have had wonderful donors like you who care about their education. We are a technology focused society and using tools like apple products will make them better prepared to be active members of our society.”
