I teach a brilliant third grade class in a rural area. I have a fantastic mix of boys and girls who love science. We enjoy having discussions about topics and issues that impact our world. Health and fitness are important topics that we practice daily. We are a broad spectrum of learners from special education to gifted. We work hard in our classroom at being a team and supporting each other. School testing data has revealed that there is a gender gap in performance; boys are lagging. I have found that science and current events really draw in the male gender and holds their learning attention.

About my class
