  • Art in Science

    Funded May 10, 2017

Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. These art supplies have made a world of difference in my science classroom. I wish you could have seen my students' looks of excitement when they saw brand new markers, crayons, modeling clay, paint, and pencils for them to use!

All of these supplies were put to good use immediately. Pre-k used modeling clay and paint to create models of a butterfly's life cycle. Fourth grade used the markers to draw food chains. My second graders used crayons to draw the life cycle of a plant and modeling clay to make model flowers. First grade students used the clay to model the kinds of clothing they would wear during each of the seasons. These are just a few of the projects we've done; I'm sure there will be many more to come!

Thank you again for your generosity. These supplies have made it possible for my students to represent their learning in artistic ways and have made learning even more enjoyable for them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kerry

  • Can I Print This?

    Funded Oct 24, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donation of a printer to my science classroom! This printer was put to good use immediately! My students and I both love having the ability to print research, work, images, and more immediately.

The printer is used on a daily basis in the classroom. I use it to print out worksheets, assessments, activities, pictures, and more for my students. My students use it to print out copies of their work as well as research from the Internet. Without a printer, none of this is possible.

Thank you again for providing my students and I with this printer!”

  • Supplies to Start Off the School Year

    Funded Sep 2, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom and students. The paper, pencils, erasers, and Post-It notes were put to good use immediately!

Many of my students come to school with very few supplies because their families are unable to afford them. The supplies you have donated give my students access to the materials that they need to be successful in school. Having access to pencils and erasers means that my students are able to record their scientific observations, drawings, data, and conclusions easily and without having to search for something to write with. My students love using the Post-It notes to record their observations and thinking. The copy paper has allowed my students and I to print lab reports, pictures of what we're learning about, student work, and more.

Thank you again for your kindness. My students and I wish you all the best.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kerry

  • We Need Books!

    Funded Dec 23, 2015

Thank you for your generous donation of books to my first grade classroom. I wish you could have seen the looks of joy and excitement on my students' faces when they opened up the box of brand-new books. They couldn't wait to get their hands on them!

These books were immediately placed into in our classroom library. Prior to this, our library had very limited options for my struggling readers. As a result, instead of being excited about reading, they were often bored and frustrated with their lack of options. Since these books have been added to our library, my students have once again become excited about reading. They look forward to reading these new books each day during independent reading times and excitedly tell me and their peers about what they are reading.

Your help has encouraged my first grade students to love reading and has ensured that they have the books that they need to become better readers. Thank you again for providing my students with these leveled books.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kerry

  • We Need More Books!

    Funded Dec 4, 2015

Thank you so much for your generous donation of leveled books to my first grade students. These books were put to good use immediately!

I wish you could have seen the looks of joy and excitement on my students' faces when they opened up the boxes of brand-new books. They couldn't wait to get their hands on them! All of my students grabbed books and immediately began reading them. This was wonderful to see as my lowest readers have been loosing their enthusiasm for reading due to the lack of books on their reading levels in our classroom library. Your gift has made it possible for my struggling readers to have interesting books to choose from, which has given them a renewed enthusiasm for reading. They regularly choose these books during independent reading times and comment on how much they love reading them.

Thank you so much for helping my students experience the joy of reading! These books will benefit my students for years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kerry

  • A Place For Everyone!

    Funded Sep 23, 2015

On behalf of my first graders, thank you again for your donation of a colorful new carpet to our class. You should have seen the looks on my students' faces when they walked into the room the morning the new rug was unrolled! It transformed the room into an inviting, welcoming place! My students love their bigger, better, and cleaner carpet and are incredibly appreciative of the your generosity!

A carpet is a wonderful resource to have in an early childhood classroom. Almost all instruction takes place with the students seated on the rug. With individual and extra roomy squares marked out on the rug, each student now has his or her own spot on the carpet. The rows of squares are also color-coded, making it easier to divide the class up into groups or dismiss the students back to their seats. My students also love to sit on the rug during independent reading time. It is wonderful to see first graders curled up or stretched out on this carpet reading away in their favorite books! Thank you so much for making this cozy reading nook possible!

Thank you again for providing the class with this colorful new rug. My current group of first graders' quality of education (not to mention many future groups!) has undoubtedly been improved by your kindness.”

  • Can You Sharpen Our Pencils?

    Funded May 9, 2015

Thank you for your generous contribution to my classroom and students. Your support has made it possible for my students to receive the pencil sharpener, pencils, and pencil cases that they so desperately needed.

It has been wonderful to have pencils and a reliable pencil sharpener in our classroom. No longer are students distracted from their learning because they cannot find a sharp pencil. Now, students can quickly and easily sharpen their pencils and get right back to work. They are also able to keep track of their pencils in their pencil cases.

Thank you for again for your gift to my classroom and students. Your help has ensured that students for years to come will always have sharp pencils to write with. We wish you all the best!”

  • Art Supplies for My Second Grade Students

    Funded May 6, 2015

On behalf of my first graders, thank you again for all of the wonderful art supplies that you donated to our class. You should have seen the excitement on my students' faces when we received box after box of crayons, markers, colored pencils, dot painters, paper, laminating pouches, and paint brushes. They couldn't wait to get their hands on these supplies and start creating works of art with them.

My school doesn't have an art teacher and many of my students do not even have crayons at home, so having access to a wide range of art supplies in the classroom is essential. Since receiving these items, my students have used them to develop their creativity through artwork. They have painted pictures, created collages, and much more. They have also used these materials to demonstrate their learning in literacy, math, science, and social studies. They have modeled addition problems with dot painters, painted pictures of animals with watercolors, drawn pictures to illustrate stories they've written with crayons, and more. My students love using these supplies to express themselves creatively.

I am so grateful for your support and generosity. Your help has ensured that my students receive a high-quality education, one that is full of art. Thank you again for providing my class with these resources. My current group of first graders' quality of education (not to mention many future groups!) has undoubtedly been improved by your kindness. We wish you all the best!”

  • A Cozy Reading Corner

    Funded May 4, 2015

On behalf of my first graders, thank you for your donation to our class. My students put the beanbag seats and reading chairs with ottomans to good use immediately!

Every day my students read independently or with a partner for a minimum of 15 minutes. Prior to receiving the beanbag seats and reading chairs, the only places available for my students to read were their desks and our classroom carpet. As a result, they had a lot of trouble focusing on their books for any length of time because they were uncomfortable or easily distracted by their peers. Since receiving these comfortable seats, my students are more excited for independent reading because they love sitting on the chairs. Students who used to have difficulty staying focused during reading are now able to focus for longer periods of time in our new reading corner.

I am so grateful for your generosity and support. Reading is so important and these materials have helped me to create an area in the classroom that encourages my students to read. Your gift not only benefits my students this year, but will benefit students for many years to come! We wish you all the best!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kerry

  • Supplies to Start Off the School Year

    Funded Aug 25, 2014

Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom and students. The pencils, pencil cases, erasers, pens, paper, envelopes, folders, tape, and glue were put to good use immediately!

Many of my students come to school with very few supplies because their families are unable to afford them. When they saw the boxes of pencils, pencil cases, erasers, pens, paper, envelopes, folders, tape, and glue and I explained that these supplies were for them, they were ecstatic.

These supplies allow my students to have the materials they need to be successful in school. We use the pencils and erasers all day and the students keep track of them in their pencil cases. They store their work in the folders and use the envelopes to bring their work home so that their families can see their academic progress. The copy paper has allowed me to print homework and classwork assignments.

Thank you again for these school supplies. You have provided my students with the materials that they need to be successful!”

    With gratitude,
