Thank you so much for your generous donation!! My students will be so excited to get all of these STEM resources to learn, explore, and grow. The station games will be so good to practice skills we review and to practice new skills! The non-fiction books will be great to learn about new concepts. I really appreciate your willingness to give to my students and classroom. As their teacher, I want them to have every opportunity possible so that they can reach their greatness! I couldn't do it without amazing companies like you that give so unselfishly. Thank you again!!!”

  • 4th Grade Science Club!

    Funded Dec 4, 2015

Thank you so much for your donation to our Science Club project. The students are so excited about having materials to study plants, archeology, and other science topics. We will be using these items to go more in-depth into our study and to learn about the world around us. I know the students will enjoy the hands-on learning and exploring using the fossil kit and terrariums.

As a teacher, I appreciate you so much. I always want my students to have every opportunity to learn and grow. I love seeing them excited about learning. I also love seeing them learn about science jobs that they could potentially have in the future. This wouldn't be possible without your kindness and generosity. We are so thankful for you! Thank you for caring and for making a difference.”

  • Be A "Whole" Part Of Helping Us Learn Fractions!

    Funded Mar 24, 2015

Thank you so much for the generous donation of fraction tiles, fraction circles, and the giant magnetic fraction sets. These have been so helpful! The students are able to have the fraction tiles on their desks to build the fractions, find equivalent fractions, and compare fractions. The giant magnetic set has been very helpful in modeling different fractions on the white board.

The students are able to use the fractions sets for completing small group work, whole group work, stations, etc. They also use them to create problems and practice at their desks.

When we received the boxes with the supplies, the were jumping up and down and yelling with excitement. I was able to use your generosity as an example of how important it is to give back to others. You have made such a difference in the lives of these students and the lives of many students to come! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring about my class and their education.”

  • Technology Kids!

    Funded Oct 10, 2014

Thank you so much for the very generous donation of iPad minis and 2 Chromebooks to our classroom. The students are having so much fun using them, and they are learning all about responsibility as well. My students couldn't believe that someone would be willing to give them so many great things! I have been able to use you as an example of giving back to the community.

The students have used the computer to practice skills they have learned on many different websites and apps. They have also used them both to research many topics and then write about them. They are learning all about how to find and use good websites. They are also learning how to cite their sources. All of these skills are important to them throughout the next years in school and in the workforce. In addition, the students are learning to be more responsible and how to care for the technology. We have to learn to share them, how to work together with them, and how to make sure they are plugged in and charged for the next day. It has been so great to watch, as a teacher, and see leaders emerge and make sure these things get done.

Donors like you are so imperative to helping children have the tools to be successful in school and in life. My students are more excited and eager to learn because of you. You have made such a difference in the lives of these children and the lives of children for many years to come!! Thank you so much from all of us in our class!”

  • Seeing Science with Googles!

    Funded Sep 17, 2014

Thank you so much for your generous donation of a grade-level set of science safety goggles. The students LOVE wearing them every chance they get. They have also learned to clean them and put them away after using them.

We have already used them while making circuits, experimenting with forces, in soil experiments, and so much more. They are very eager to put them on each time we say we will be doing a lab. The students are always looking for more opportunities to wear the goggles.

Not having a PTA at our school, donors like you are so necessary to our classrooms and grade level. We have also been able to use you as an example of giving back to those around you! You have helped our students tis year as well as the students for many years to come! Our eyes are safe and our minds re learning! Thank you again. We are so very grateful!”

  • TIME For Kids To Read Non-Fiction!

    Funded Jun 6, 2014

Thank you so much for the generous donation of a Time For Kids subscription for each student in my class. They were thrilled!! I showed them the first magazines we received and they couldn't believe that they would be getting an entire year's worth of magazines on different topics.

We have used the magazines to support teaching nonfiction features. We have also used them for topics to debate such as school uniforms, cultural differences, and many more. One student read the article about coding and became so fascinated that he researched and has been practicing coding for hours at a time at home. The magazines go home with the students after we use them. Many of them have talked about reading through them with parents or other family members. Also, students have found topics to check out other nonfiction books on.

This subscription has been such an asset to our classroom. The students are excited to read every article each time they come in the mail. We have very rich discussions about the various topics since they are often something the students can connect to.

Donors like you make such a difference in a classroom. Students are learning more...I am able to teach more adequately...All because you gave! Thank you for caring about my students and for being an incredible example of what it means to give back to others. We appreciate you more than words can express. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hoover

  • Hands-On Learning!

    Funded Oct 8, 2013

Thank you so much for the very generous donation of 3 iPad minis, iPad, iPod touch, and 2 cases for the iPads to my classroom. My students are able to do so many things on them. They can watch science videos, practice math facts, explore geography, and use applications to help with spelling and reading. They can also use them to take pictures to document their learning. My students are very excited every day to use them to explore, learn, and practice concepts on a daily basis.

This has also been a great opportunity to teach responsibility in caring for our technology. The students are in charge of making sure it is put away, charged, and ready each day. The students have enjoyed being given the chance to learn and grow in so many ways. These lessons are going to be important for these students as they continue in school and in the future years as they enter the professional field of their choice.

Donors like you are a crucial part in ensuring that students have all of the tools necessary to become good students and more importantly successful later in life. You are making such a difference in the lives of so many students. I am extremely grateful for your kindness and generosity! Thank you for valuing education!!”

I want to say thank you again for your very generous donation of an iPad and case to our classroom. My students use it every day in so many ways. They watch videos about science topics, they play applications that help them practice spelling and reading, they play word games, and they use them to record themselves reading so that they can work on their fluency. • Sharpen Our Students!

    Funded Mar 19, 2013

I want to say thank you again for your very generous donation of the 5 sharpeners to our grade level. They have been so helpful in making sure the students have a writing utensil to complete their work! It has also saved a lot of time for the teachers because the students are able to have one in each classroom. Also, we have been able to assign the task of being responsible for the pencil sharpeners each week so the students have learned that too.

Thank you for being such a wonderful example of giving and caring. The students on our grade level are learning about sharing, caring, and taking care of others from your example. Thank you for this opportunity to help them learn these skills.

The students in our classrooms often do not have the same opportunities as other children their age. They watch videos about science topics, they play applications that help them practice spelling and reading, they play word games, and they use them to read many books. Another great use for the nooks is researching topics using the Internet on them. I love hearing the students talking excitedly about playing educational games and watching science videos. I have also seen them learn to share and work together from using the nooks. All of my students are learning and reinforcing concepts that will help them become better readers and writers. The headphones are very helpful in keeping the noise level down so that everyone can concentrate.

The students that come into my classroom every day are hungry for learning! Our school is very low socioeconomic and has a high mobility rate. The students don't have a lot of opportunities to experience technology outside of our school. They often come to me as struggling, below level readers. I have to try lots of things to get them interested in books. Also, they are often at many different reading levels. Our school is not able to provide much help with books and technology since we do not have a PTA or PTO. Even though my students come from not ideal situations, they are some of the most caring and kind students I have ever met. They want to learn, and I will do whatever neccessary to make sure that they are given every opportunity possible!!
