Magnificent Magazines
Funded Sep 20, 2022We are incredibly grateful for our "Magnificent Magazines" from Scholastic. These magazines have provided a wide range of articles from history, geography and science. The students have had interesting discussions using the debates and "sticky situations!" These are helpful for the students to learn how to create an opinion and how to encourage others to "do the right thing."
The teachers really like how the Scholastic website provides the articles in different levels for our multi-level readers. The students are easily engaged because all the articles come with a short video to watch to support the material.
Our learners are from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen, Guyana and several other countries. The students have been inspired with the articles about specific countries. They encourage one another to share about where their family is from and we can take virtual field trips. We appreciate all that you have done to get these magazines in the hands and minds of our learners!”
With gratitude,

Funded Feb 12, 2018We are honored by your amazing generosity!! This book has touched our students hearts and more importantly helped them to understand differences. Each day our students touch our hearts with their realizations of kindness and sincerity. We are grateful to have this gift of having a copy of Wonder in each of our students' hands. It will continue to lead growing discussions and learning potential for our kids.
Our students to continue to growth their acceptance of others and make less judgments. We owe a lot to this book and again, we are thrilled to have copies for each of our students to use.”

Cozy Reading Makes You Want to Read Forever
Funded Nov 12, 2017Our students are very excited about their new seating arrangements. The yoga balls are fun, entertaining and best of all students feel like they can focus better!
The room looks like something from the future with 30 large yoga balls! The students spent several days helping to pump them up and they continue to enjoy giving them more air when they deflate a bit. My colleague and I have got used to the students bouncing up and down most of the day. Luckily, we have not had any accidents!
Our next project will focus on a class set of Wonder, the novel. We look forward to working with you and hope to get a sponsor for this project.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Holt
