Our students are boys and girls in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. They are wonderful and outgoing students that jump at every opportunity to do anything that will help them improve themselves academically and socially in order to increase their prospects for the future. Our school is a Title I school, dedicated to meeting the educational, social and emotional needs of one of the most impoverished and crime ridden neighborhoods in Atlanta. The unemployment rate in this community affects 1 in 4 families. The student population is 98% African American. Additionally, we are a National Free Lunch School where 100% of our students receive free or reduced lunches.
