Empowering Student Voice Through Podcasting
Funded Nov 14, 2024You all are truly the best. Our project has already been funded! This morning I met with our newspaper club and they were generating so many great ideas for stories that impact their classmates and community, and they are going to be so excited to be able to have different ways to bring these ideas to life. I cannot wait to share the news with them that we're funded!
I know there's a lot going on for many right now and that there are so many people and causes worth what money we can afford to donate. I'm beyond grateful that you shared your generosity with us. I promise these students will make you proud!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kelly
Bringing the Classroom to the Home
Funded Aug 6, 2020I appreciate all that you have given me so I can give my students as much an authentic classroom experience as possible under these very tumultuous times. I look forward to transforming my space to suit the needs of my students who all deserve the very best from us all.”

Flexible Lessons For Remote Learning
Funded Jul 13, 2020I do not have the words to express my gratitude for your support for my project. So much is up in the air for teachers and students right now, big existential crises and the trickle down they have into the ability to effectively be a teacher and a student. I know my own determination will match that of my students, and I'm excited to have this new tool to provide more diversity in teaching methods that will give students more flexibility outside of the classroom in remote situations, and let us really delve deeper into tracing our current realities through American history when we're together.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kelly
This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 8 other donors.Best Young Adult/Teen Fiction For Class Library
Funded Oct 17, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation.
Just the other day I was at the bookshelf in my classroom tidying up and realized how few books were on the shelf in comparison to what had been there starting in August. I realized how many students were actually taking the books to read, occasionally taking them out of their book bags to read a few pages in the mornings before the start of school, if not for independent reading time in class.
I'm delighted to know that our classroom library will be expanding with books that will add to the diversity of our literature. It's exciting to see kids typically resistant to reading perusing the books shelf and I'm so glad (and they will be, too) to see that their outside interests will be better supported in the classroom, which will only give them a better opportunity to WANT to read, which will only improve their literacy.
Thank you so much. The opportunity to engage the students on a creative and instructional level is well appreciated.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kelly
