  • Every Little Step!

    Funded Sep 10, 2024

Getting in line is now a fun activity. Thanks to you, it is an opportunity to learn colors and follow directions. The gel mats are helping my little preschool students with personal space. We are using the floor gel mats to help the students line up. The students enjoy staying in line because they are standing on a gel mat. While they wait in line, they are fascinated by creating different swirl designs. The gel mats help with academics, behaviors, and safety. The students now line up promptly and listen for directions.”

  • One Adventure at a Time!

    Funded Aug 20, 2024

My students use the play smartphone and Jack in the Box to engage in cause-and-effect activities. The scarves promote dance and movement activities. When the students first saw the baby clothes, they were excited to dress up their dolls. The dress-up clothes, career dolls, and toy vehicles enhance dramatic play schemes. The bristle blocks are used to create buildings and roads. Thanks to United Airlines and Math Shelf, my little preschool students have the materials to encourage and extend play.”

  • Children Learn through Play!

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thanks to your help PNC Grow Up Great, my little students now have access to fun educational materials such as a pop-up tunnel and pretend play pop-up tents. These pretend pop-up tunnel tents help my students improve their imagination through pretend and dramatic play. When they first saw the pop-up tents, they jumped inside and zipped up the tent. They often pretend to be riding the pop-up tent to a real emergency. They are often playing and working together to help each other. On rainy days, the kids love indoor play due to the pretend pop-up tunnel tents.”

  • Learning Meets Fun!

    Funded May 17, 2024

Thanks to your generosity, Sheldon on CBS, my students are learning by playing with fun hands-on materials. They are having a blast with the science center materials, wrist ribbons, and the bean bag toss game. Our current project is to work on gross motor activities by throwing the bean bags and moving the ribbons to the beat of music. Kids are excited to play with the floating bubbles in the sensory table. Our next steps are to change the temperature of the water. For example, tossing a few ice cubes in the water on a hot day.”

  • Empowering Young Minds!

    Funded May 21, 2024

Stickers are also a fun way to motivate young people to work with numbers and geometric shapes. The most entertaining project is learning about animals. Using the stickers, preschoolers are delighted to sort animals into in-home pets, zoo animals, and farm animal categories.

Our classroom has several wonderful projects going on now. With the use of the stickers students are able to create shopping lists and bingo cards. These are laminated to preserve the activity for several months. My students really enjoy the face making face activities. They love trying different parts and giggle when using silly parts. Our next project will be to find storage such as boxes and a metal shelf for our materials. Young children need a variety of materials that can be rotated to keep them engaged.”

  • Ready, Set, Go!

    Funded Apr 5, 2024

when my students first saw the tricycles they attempted to climb on to ride them. At first, they needed help to climb on. They quickly used their feet to push off and happily said, "wee!" Riding a tricycle was so exciting for them. The students were so happy to take turns and follow the safety rules on the campus playground. Riding a tricycle has improved their gross motor skills. In addition, safety awareness skills have been demonstrated by all students while using the tricycles. My students are now motivated to finish their work and then go to recess. Keeping them active with tricycles during recess has been very helpful for my students seeking a challenging physical workout. Thank you for your donation.”

  • Rocking Science!

    Funded Nov 6, 2023

When the boxes arrived, the students jumped up and down with joy. The students immediately opened the boxes and cheered for each item we pulled out of a box. We could not wait to use the tote boxes to organize the toys in each cubby. Using the tote boxes allows the students to be independent and successful when it is time to clean up. It was a day full of laughter. Two students attempted to try on the scientist coat at the same time, each student inserted one arm into a sleeve. They did not want to stop playing and exploring the scientist kit items. Without a doubt, the most valued items were the pouches. Thanks to these plastic see-through pouches our books will be organized and kept in a good condition.”

  • Music Is Fun!

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

When I first saw that the project was funded, I was overwhelmed with joy. The JVL speakers are used to help students learn and follow directions in a fun way. The students are eager to hear their favorite songs using the JVL speakers. The students enjoy carrying the speaker while they do dance and movement activities. They get excited about class projects such as the Winter program. In the past we really struggled with the students that have difficulty attending. Once these students hold the JVL speakers, these students are focused and eager to learn through the use of music. Thank you.”

  • Stop and Smell the Fun

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

When I first saw that people had given to my project, I could not believe it. The Chicka Chicka Boom Boom books are a preferred item. These books are used in the independent reading center. The children are encouraged to look at the pictures and flip the pages as the teacher reads the book. The books were used so much that they quickly showed signs of wear and tear. The packing tape was used to fix the books.

The materials arrived mid April. Upon arrival, my preschool students cheered and celebrated by yelling loudly. The children loaded the shopping cart parts into the teacher cart and took turns pulling the cart. The children demonstrated a preference for the colorful gift bags. The gift bags are small, which makes it easier for the children to hold and carry the bags. Our next project is to use the bags for sorting activities, puppets, craft, and gifts for the upcoming holidays. Your donation made it possible for our students to have access to the materials they need to succeed.”
