  • Old and Tired Media Equipment Need an Update

    Funded Aug 9, 2016

Thank you very much for the amazing equipment that was donated to our Language Arts classroom!

Since receiving the flat screen television and the Apple TV, we have been able to quite effectively do our daily work by allowing students to learn how to implement grammar in their writing. Our daily grammar lesson is much more effective when students are actively participating in the lesson. They can see corrections being made in real time clearly. Also, the new equipment has allowed us to use student work in a more positive and productive manner. I can project their work via an Apple Ipad (used as a camera) and manipulate student work which is effective because it is their work.

The mirroring capacity has allowed us to use my laptop computer as a theater for great documentaries. We have been able to access some great resources via Apple TV and the Apple store which enriches many of the lessons we have shared together.

Overall, the quality of the educational setting skyrocketed! The students feel like they're in an up-to-date classroom which makes them feel good about being there.

We are constantly looking for other ways to utilize our equipment to enriched our lessons and our educational objectives.

I thank you, and most of all, the students thank you for giving us this great opportunity to elevate the level of learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Sarudi

Technology is a must in this day and age of education. A new television monitor and Apple TV unit will help enhance our learning environment and improve the students'ability to connect with all the current media and technology outlets. There are so many websites that make learning grammar more interesting than studying it out of a textbook. By having an up to date media system allows me to demonstrate how to properly use the web, find helpful sites, and effectively research. In addition, students will be able create their own project and share them with their peers by connecting their devices over the Apple TV system. They get to use the most recent applications and then project them on a medium that gives their work more meaning. Overall, the end result will greatly improve the quality of learning and sharing.
