Thank you SO much for your donation to our program. Yesterday was the first day we introduced the iPad to the students, after a period of staff professional development and familiarization with the TouchChat app! Within the first 10 minutes modeling and exploration of the device, he began creating sentences. He told us, "I want to eat more pretzels!" And even responded, "I want to eat more" when asked if he wanted to play or eat. Previous to having the iPad, he did not have a way to answer, no way to voice his wants or needs.
We are excited for stories like these and for more to come as our students access their voices. Thank you for your generosity!”

My students have autism, which affect their communication, fine and gross motor skills, behavior, academics, cognition and social skills. All of my students have a limited repertoire of words and are mostly non-verbal. They are kindergarteners and attend a typical elementary school; they are included with their same-age peers for lunch and recess. Despite all that life has handed to them, they still know how to have a good time and impress me with all the amazing progress they have achieved this year! They are all super cute and hard-working; they give me a reason to smile every day!
