  • Ready for Winter

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Thank you for your donation! One of the most difficult parts of my job is seeing students struggle with having the basic. Many won't ask. However your donation to help buy new clothing items such as socks and hoodies made it possible for our students to receive something that everyone wanted. They know these items are always available to them when they need them.

Thank you for your donation and helping our school to better help our students in need. We appreciate you commitment to students and education.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Singleton

  • Crafting for Stress

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

Thank for donating to this project. Our students are loving the opportunity to create and learn a skill that helps them relax and calm.

Students can visit our offices to work on one of the weaving projects, jewelry making, or other needle point items. They love that they can use these at school and also take them home. The project require some patience and focus. Something that does not always come easy for teenagers.

Thank you for your donation and your continued support for public education. WE are making a difference together!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Singleton

  • The Best Way to Spread Cheer...37 Pieces of FLAIR!

    Funded Dec 28, 2023

Thank you for the donation you made to our project. Even though our students are teenagers they still love wearing buttons and being recognized for their accomplishments. We are on a slightly different schedule than a regular high school. So every 6 weeks we have students graduating. We do a small ceremony to celebrate them. Each graduate receives a graduation button. They love them and ask for extras to give to their family.

We appreciate your commitment to our students and helping us to be able to do these little things that make such a big difference to them!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Singleton

  • On Your Mark, Get Set, ESports

    Funded Oct 10, 2023

Thank you for your donation to our students. This gaming system will help us get going with our ESports and also give our students time with other students to build friendships and meet other with similar interests.

Our students are shocked that others donated to provide a gaming system to have at school! Their smiles and excitement make us feel so happy for them.

Some of our most withdrawn and quiet students can't wait for the opportunity to show others how talented they are. One has been able to help others and teach them how to play and set up the controllers and system.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Singleton

  • Stress Free... Ahhhh!

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

Thank you for your support of our students. Your donation helped to equip our offices and classrooms with items to help our students calm and overcome their stress and anxiety. They are able to use items such as gum to keep them calm, stress balls and other fidgets to help them refocus on their learning. High school can be a stressful time for students and when we are able to work together to help them through these troubling times we are surely making a difference in their lives for the better. Thank you again for your support.”

  • Back to the Basics

    Funded Aug 10, 2023

Thank you for your donation. The snack boxes were definitely the most popular! Although they are almost gone, it has been super beneficial for helping me get to know my students since this is my first year at this school. Word spread quickly! I'm pretty sure everyone knows where my office is located now!!

The students were so excited to see a drawer full of snacks to help them get through the long morning before lunch. They were so appreciative and most EVERYONE said thank you!!

Students have been using the board games during lunch and it has helped them get to know some new people!

    Thank you for your donation.”

  • Esports for the BEARS!

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

WOW!!! The look on my students faces when they saw the Switch, controllers and the games was the best!! Students have heard of other schools having Esports teams. This is our first step and getting one started!

Most students play games on their phones alone. Our hope is that having this system out during lunch and our Advisory time they will start to make bonds and work together doing something they enjoy and love.

I am hoping this can bring some of my quiet, shy students who hang out by themselves out of their shells and help them to make friends.”

  • New Year, New School, Prep Essentials

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you for your donation to our project. Our students have already put many of these items to use. They are so thankful to be able to walk into my office to get supplies like combs, deodorant, Chapstick, and other "personal items" to help them feel more comfortable during the day.

They are so excited when they ask for an item and pull out my bottom drawer. They look like little kids at Christmas.

Many of us have what we need each day and don't have to stress over having the essentials. However, teenagers struggling to just have the minimal essentials don't need that worry on top of all the others they have. Thank you again for your donation!”

  • It's a Pick Me Up!

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Thank you for your donation to our students. We appreciate all you do to help our kids in all the ways they need.

These items have had many hands on them this year! The bubble timers are a hit for all ages 0-99!!! It is so soothing to sit and stare into plastic and watch bubbles slide down to the bottom!

Journals are such a great item to everyone! They can keep us organized, and give us a place to privately express ourselves. I encourage my students to write letters back and forth to me in the journals, do "brain dumps" when they are feeling overwhelmed and write what they are grateful for to try and refocus them back to the positive and the good things going on in their lives.

And EVERYONE enjoys getting a handwritten letter. The cards and envelopes are so great to have to send that little note of thanks or encouragement to students and staff.

Thank you again for all you do for our school and students.”

  • Podcasting for the Future

    Funded Jul 22, 2022

Thank you for donating to our project! We have several award winning documentaries in the works!!!

We have filmed a video using our counselors and have a parent video and advisory lessons ready to send out!! I am shocked, ok not really, how many people hate being filmed or talking on camera. I guess everyone can't be as outgoing and not caring about what others think as much as US!!!

Thank you for your kind words and your donation. You have always been such a great supporter and positive person!! Thank you!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Singleton
