  • Recess Rescued

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you very much for your donation to Recess Rescued! Your support is greatly appreciated! We went from having 2 balls and no jump ropes, to have an entire cart of balls and more than enough jump ropes for all students that would like to use one. Students are working together to spin the large jump rope, singing songs as they jump. More students are participating in basketball and soccer games during their recess. It is wonderful to see! Thank you again for donating to this project and rescuing our recess!”

  • Super Classroom Pet Supplies

    Funded Aug 25, 2024

Thank you very much for your donation to Super Classroom Pet Supplies! This project provided much needed supplies for our classroom Guinea Pigs - Shaggy and Victor. Your support is greatly appreciated. Shaggy and Victor are important members of our classroom community. Some students help care for them, learning responsibility and pet care skills. Other students use the Guinea Pigs as part of the incentive program. These students need something special to motivate them to stay engaged in learning. We even have a few students that rely upon the pets for emotional support throughout their day. Thank you for helping us provide the supplies our pets need this year!”

  • Teachable Moments Class Pet

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my project "Teachable Moments Class Pet". We have been able to adopt two guinea pigs, Victor and Shaggy, from our local MSPCA shelter. The Donor's Choose project provided all the equipment we needed to make a beautiful habitat for the animals. The students love having the animals in the classroom and are excited to help care for them. The guinea pigs are becoming more and more comfortable with being handled by the students and even love being read to. The sleeping bags we purchased with your donation make handling the animals gentle and easy for the children and the pigs! Thank you for making this project possible!”

I want to thank you very much for filling up our supply bins for the 2023 - 2024 school year! Our hard working students are enjoying having full bins of pencils and plenty of dry erase markers!

The wonderful Donor's Choose community is so amazing! Through the generosity of donors like yourself, classrooms like mine are able to get basic supplies we need to make sure our students have what they need to be successful this year!

This year we will be writing narrative stories about Greek gods and goddesses and many more exciting writing projects! Our pencils and erasers will be getting lots of use!

  • Dress Up and Learn

    Funded Sep 12, 2022

Thank you for your donation to Dress Up and Learn! We have been using the costumes and props to engage students in academic conversations about what they are learning. In one activity, students dressed as characters from folktales they heard read aloud. They acted out the plots. Students were very excited to participate in this activity. They love the materials that were donated and are looking forward to using the materials again. Soon, we will be creating American pioneer characters and writing stories about them. Students will get the chance to dress as their characters and tell about their Westward journey. Thank you again!”

  • 2nd Graders Need Books!

    Funded May 5, 2022

Thank you very much for your generous gift to help the students in my classroom get some new books into their hands. Second grade students are still learning to read and needs lots of engaging books that will encourage them to practice, practice, practice. My students love reading the engaging books that were donated to our classroom library. They appreciate having new books to replenish the well loved and worn out books we have. It is with the help of generous donors that I can offer my students loads of great books that keep them reading! Thank you!”

  • 2nd Graders Love Science

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you for donating to my science project. Your donation has had an impact on my students. The students in my class love the science materials that were purchased with the donation you made. We have planted seeds and watched them germinate as part of our plant unit. We watched lady bugs go through their life cycle in the ladybug habitat. During our insect unit, students studied the characteristics of different insects and sorted them. At this time we are learning about the benefits of eating a balanced diet. Up next, we will be learning about forces. Thanks for supporting my students!”

  • Play to Engage

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The donation you gave to "play to Engage " has made an impact on the students in my classroom by providing them with props they can use to have collaborative educational discussions.

This project provided students with props that are connected to our thematic literacy units. The students are using the new resources to act out stories they listen to and to learn more about informational topics- such as the Ancient Greek civilization.

The students in my classroom love these resources. They had so much fun acting out folktales using the finger puppets.

My students will continue to use the props as they learn about The War of 1812, civil rights activists, and the human body. Thank you for supporting classrooms like mine!”

    Funded Jul 18, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The donation you gave to "We need the basics" has made an impact on the students in my classroom by providing them with a well stocked supply closet.

This project provided pencils, whiteboard markers and erasers for students. The students are using the new resources to complete their independent work.

The students in my classroom love having plenty of supplies because it means they never have to worry about not having a pencil or eraser to do their work.

My students will continue to use the pencils and other supplies for their independent work. They will feel secure knowing that they have what they need to get their work done! Thank you for supporting classrooms like mine!”

  • Let’S Work Together

    Funded Jul 24, 2020

Thank you for you generous support of this project. The table was delivered to the school and our custodian has put it together. Our classroom is empty right now because our students are learning from home until our community's positive virus rate declines. We have delivered supplies to students homes but they are eager to get back to our classroom. When they do, they will be happy to use our new collaborative learning table! Thanks to community members like you, we will get through these difficult times!”
