A Printer of Our Own
Funded Aug 22, 2024Thank you again for your donation to our classroom. I have been able to provide interventions for ALL students on a regular basis. These interventions are based on their specific needs in real time.
Students love that they have practice that applies to them and not just the class, in general. As soon as I see they are struggling with a reading skill, set of words, phonics skill, etc. - I am able to address the issue and they are able to see exactly where the practice is coming from and realize why.
I have two groups of students that have seen significant growth in their reading levels based on this individualized practice. They are on their way to grade level and it shows in their personal confidence each day.
Thank you for all your support. We appreciate you greatly.”

Lexicons Level Up
Funded Nov 28, 2023This technology has allowed students to practice vocabulary words at their level and at their pace. Students can get as much practice as they need when they are allowed to work at their own pace. With enough practice, students are able to master words that they previously were unable to use in every form of the context.
The students love to compete for the most points, questions answered, words mastered. They are constantly checking the leader boards to see how they are ranking against their classmates, peers, and vocabulary learners from around the country.
Each week students are paid extra classroom money for the to the top 3 students in each homeroom. Each class has a healthy competition going between 5 or 6 students that are constantly battling for those top three spots. A few of them even create their own lists to master more advanced words!”

Funded May 9, 2023Our school has 1-1 iPads for student learning. teachers are able to differentiate for students in a variety of ways and for any class, utilizing the technology. When student devices aren't charged, it hinders the student's ability to access that learning.
With the new chargers and charging station, students are able to continue through their regularly scheduled class with their device so they can continue their individualized learning.
Students used to have to move to sit on the floor near an outlet if their device was dying. They are VERY appreciative of the new portable chargers we have in the classroom. Thank you for your continued support of our classroom learning.”

Funded Aug 6, 2022This season our players are able to look and feel like real ball players. They have their own gloves and softball pants that match our jerseys.
They were very excited to find their perfect glove and suit up in full uniform for the first game. They looked and felt like professionals.
We have practices twice a week and won our first game last week with an amazing strike out from our 8th grade pitcher. The girls have grown so much this season and we owe a huge thanks to you all for providing us with the needed equipment for us to be successful.
Thank you for your continued support.”

Funded Feb 9, 2023The entire 6th grade has been able to blow their nose, bandage their booboos, and keep themselves and their space clean and sanitized.
Students were overwhelmed with the amount of supplies sent to our classroom. They had so much fun unpacking and sharing our abundance of supplies.
Students are able to clean their desks, headphones, and work spaces regularly. They love taking the job of disinfecting high traffic areas of the classroom. It is great that they no longer need to miss so much class time traveling to and from the nurse just to get a bandaid.
Thank you again for all your continued support of our classroom.”

Watch Us Grow
Funded Oct 26, 2022I will be honest, at first students thought the idea was a little silly, but as they saw more and more leaves added to the tree, I quickly got their attention. Students are more motivated to strive for growth in all areas. They are now pushing themselves harder to show that improvement. They are setting goals and working diligently to achieve them. 70% of the students showed growth on their mid-year tests and were able to add 1 or more leaves to the trees. Students cheer each other on and get very excited when a classmate is able to add a leaf to the board.
I know students will continue to strive for their best and show growth in all that they do. They can proudly show off all the growth they have made whether academically, behaviorally, or socially, with this interactive bulletin board. Thank you for making this a reality for these 6th graders.”

Funded Sep 20, 2022Students are LOVING the new resources. We have been reading many informational texts, including magazine articles, where the print can be small and sometimes difficult to follow along. Students having been finding the line readers very helpful to keep their place. They have also been using the magnifying overlays to enlarge the print. The colored overlays are helping to keep students attention on the page. At first, they were skeptical of the new tools and if they could actually help, but they were pleasantly surprised by the results.”

Funded Apr 12, 2022All the girls on our softball team were able to take home their own BRAND NEW glove. This allowed them to practice outside our designated practice times. They even met up a couple times on the weekends to practice together at the neighborhood park!
They were over the moon to see the new gloves. Not sharing gloves during practices and games allowed us more flexibility during games and repetition in drills.
This season we will be able to offer all girls their own glove for the entire season. They will be able to practice regularly. I hope they will see the value and support their community has for them.”

Funded Mar 21, 2022We are now able to easily organize and access our headphones. With these hooks, we can easily disinfect them on a daily basis to keep everyone healthy and safe. I have a student in each class who takes pride in organizing and accounting for all the headphones at the end of each class. Students used to be annoyed at trying to untangle headphones to use in class, even when it was more beneficial for them to use them. Now, students are more likely to use the headphones because they are easy to grab, clean, and put away. Thank you for your help in providing this for our students.”

Keeping Them Healthy!
Funded Dec 8, 2021I was able to provide every teacher on my campus with 2 sanitizing items and have been able to keep my classroom stocked and will have it stocked for the remainder of the school year. Students can sanitize their desks daily and between classes. Students have constant access to hand sanitizer and tissues. We are also able to sanitize materials like headphones and keyboards daily with our disinfectant sprays. Students who are in need of masks do not need to worry, we have plenty to spare. I had ALL of my students in attendance for the FIRST time this year, and I have to believe it is because of the extra precautions your donations have allowed us to implement. Thank you for your generosity.”
