• Improve Mental Health With a Splash of Paint!

  THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your contributions that allowed our Chapter of the National Honor Society Members to repaint ALL the school lunch tables, several of the benches and many of the bulletin Boards around campus. We were also able to rake and sweep the teacher parking area and pull weeds, as well as sweep the main campus walkways.

  The campus looks so much better and more cheery! Indeed, several adults on campus commented on how much more cheerful the campus looks with a new coat of paint. Several students have commented on how nice the lunch tables look since they were refurbished, and it is easier to post notices now there are less staples in the bulletin boards. We have a high achieving campus and anything and everything we can do to make our campus Cheery and Bright is Welcome!

• Let's Fly Away!

  I can not wait until we get to the Gas laws section of our curriculum! I am so excited that my students will be able to build and test a hot air balloon out of the tissue paper and glue that we have received. They will be able to draw and color beautiful designs on them to easily tell which is theirs as they fly away across campus. I am so thrilled to have new goggles that are secure and protect my students from chemical splash and projectiles, so we continue our success of zero injuries in science class.

• Panther Pride!

  Thank you so much for your support of Peninsula High School Chapter of the National Honor Society! We really appreciate that you have helped us to receive sandpaper, paint trays, butcher papers, and other items to help us make our Panther Pride - Campus cleanup day a total success!

  We've been completing a Panther Pride clean-up day every spring and it really helps to improve the aesthetics of the school and improve school spirit and student metal health. Last year we painted all the lunch tables and bulletin boards. This year we'll paint the tables again, and look for other places to spruce up our campus.

• Go for the Goal!

  Thank you so very much for your kind and generous support of my classroom and lacrosse team. Although we were not able to receive the goals we requested, we did receive 2 cases of Lacrosse balls to use for practices and games, that we desperately needed.

  It is imperative that we have sufficient number of balls to carry out practices without having to run and chase every overthrown ball. This keeps everyone moving at a pace to stay in peak shape, and no one has to wait for another player to chase down the ball.

• Climate Warriors!

  Thank you so very much for your kind and generous donations to my project! my chemistry and anatomy kids are going to have several laboratories they can complete using these thermometers.

  In the fall, when it is hot, they will be able to test how the sun affects the temperature of black dirt, sand or water. They will relate this to how additional energy from the sun warms up different substances differently and causes temperature differentials which lead to wind and weather patterns.

  Additionally they will be able to use these thermometers for almost any lab that uses an analog thermometers -only these are MUCH easier to read.

• More Shots Equals More Goals!

  Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations to my project "More Shots Equals More Goals". We have gotten so much use out of the portable goals during our practices. There are so many advantages in that we can play on a smaller area with fewer players. They get more touches on the ball, which leads to better defense, more and better feeds, more shot attempts and more goals.

  The girls love the opportunity to play short-sided games which are the next step after working with drills that hone in on specific skills and gives the girls the opportunity to show off their newfound skills and the tools they have learned.

• Panther Pride Day!

  Thank you so very much for your kind and generous donations to my Panther Pride day project! I am so excited that we have most of the items we need to make our Panther Pride Day a success!

  We are going to sand and paint our tables for the outdoor lunchroom, sweep the detris from the faculty parking lot, sand and paint the metal trashcans, and so much more!

  The campus always looks cleaner and brighter after we have completed our cleanup day. I know that all the students appreciate the hard work that our chapter of the National Honor Society puts into our Panther Pride Day!

• Lax It Up!

  Thank you so much for everything you donated to my team! We have already repaired several sticks with the string we received. THe pre-wrap and tape has been used to wrap ankles to prevent further damage and keep our ankles strong.

  I have started reading through the coach manual and have gotten several great drills and I've just started! The Coach clipboards have been fabulous and each coach now has one to use to keep their papers organized.

  The air horns will come in handy at games to announce substitutions and end of each quarter.

• Science Rewards!

  Funded May 31, 2023

  THANK YOU so very very much for your donations to my Science Rewards project! We have received the stickers, thermal paper, Sunprint paper and can't wait to try everything out! My students each receive one of the science stickers and will receive another one for each major assignment! I am hoping for a nice sunny day to make the sun print paper to show how light can make a chemical change.

  We are also looking forward to using the thermal paper to show temperature changes with even very small "Micro" reactions. I know the kids are looking forward to trying out new things!
