Documenting the Creative Process

Thank you Donors for making this revolutionary project come to life. We are the first students in LAUSD arts program to make and arts advocacy video completely run by 5th grade students. Your contribution is creating a wave of the future.

The pen and paper are pre-historic devices to our students. With a swipe, click and quick type material comes to life in a 3-D manner. The use of computers, cameras, iPads, etc. is preparing students for the future.

What is most exciting about this project is that students are highly engaged, motivated and inspired. They stayed in at recess and gave up lunchtime to continue the process and get the best results possible from the project. They made discoveries I did not know were possible by exploring the programs used and took things beyond my expectations.

There were definitely students who went leaders and innovators in the project. They were the ones who explored new possibilities and refined the ideas put in place. They expressed so much motivation and desire to continue to work with technology. It allowed them to connect to the art form in a way they were not able to in our normal daily class.”
