Students learn the value of learning how to navigate an x, y, and z axis through 3D modeling and printing. Bringing a design to life with a 3D printer is magical for students. They can use the printer to design artwork, game pieces, replicas and solutions to everyday problems. We would also use the printer to reinforce mathematical concepts such as volume, area, scale, coordinate planes, cost analysis, and measurement. Students can design projects at home and they can be printed while at school. If remote learning becomes mandatory students can design at home and print at school during a virtual meeting.
