In my 3rd class we are the "Frogtastic Students." We are wonderful in every way. We work on the following character traits: being positive, honest, respectful, helpful, friendly, determined, and responsible. I feel that helping my students in any way possible (providing supplies) is modeling such behaviors. Third graders love school and are ready for new learning experiences. Our school is in a rural area with a moderate level of free and reduced lunch. Knowing that many students cannot afford lunch I want to gather the necessary supplies to help them in the classroom so they don't feel left out. Many of the students are within walking distance to our school. It's great to see many of them ride their bikes and/or stroll in on a scooter....how cool.
