  • Creative Clay Animals

    Funded Feb 6, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students are so excited to receive the air dry clay so they can begin sculpting their chosen animal and creating a habitat to display their creations. They would not have this opportunity without your generosity. Thank you once again for your donations.”

  • Calming Classroom

    Funded Aug 16, 2024

My students are making good use of the calming strips. They like touching them when they first sit down to start work. Those students who really need them continue touching them throughout class. They have told me how much they like them.

My students were very curious about the calming strips the first time they saw them. I explained that they help you focus and that some of them tell you how to breathe so that you won't be stressed while learning. They were very enthusiastic and enjoy them each time they come to class.

Thank you for donating and investing in my students learning. It has made a difference in our classroom climate. The calming strips have really helped my students deal with stress and anxiety that comes with learning new things.”

  • Learning with Lego

    Funded Jan 31, 2024

The Legos you have provided have given my students the ability to learn new skills and have fun while learning. The Legos allowed my students to build, create, and use their imagination. They learned to set the scene and create backgrounds to help tell their story. They planned out their movie by using a storyboard format. They learned to focus and aim the camera, and about time-lapse(frequency of frames and duration of movie). When they completed their projects, they presented their videos to the class.

The students were most excited about creating their own story and using their imagination. They enjoyed building with the Lego and filming with the animation cameras. They told me that they learned a lot and were able to give feedback on how to improve the experience for the next project. They loved it so much that they want to do it again.

This project was appealing to all students. They were totally engaged the entire time. They actually did not want to stop working. It has inspired them.”

  • Animation Station

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

The technology you have provided have given my students the ability to learn new skills and have fun while learning. The Hue animation cameras and Legos allowed my students to build, create, and use their imagination. They learned to set the scene and create backgrounds to help tell their story. They planned by using a storyboard format. They learned to focus and aim the camera, and about time-lapse(frequency of frames and duration of movie). When they completed their projects, they presented their videos to the class.

The students were most excited about creating their own story and using their imagination. They enjoyed building with the Lego and filming with the cameras. They told me that they learned a lot and were able to give feedback on how to improve the experience for the next project. They loved it so much that they want to do it again.

This project was appealing to all students. They were totally engaged the entire time. They actually did not want to stop working. Several students are planning to ask their parents to buy them a camera for home so that they can spend more time creating stop motion movies. It has inspired them to do more.”

  • Creating Clay Critters

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

This project has made a huge difference to my fifth grade students. They were so excited when the clay arrived. Thank you so much for your generous contribution to their education.

The clay allowed them to sculpt a realistic animal that they chose. The students made quite a variety of critters. There were snails, snakes, sting rays, llamas, alligators, sharks, dolphins, turtles, bears, penguins, cats and dogs. They did a great job painting and building a habitat to display their chosen critter. This project gave my students the opportunity to learn about animals and their habitats in a fun and creative way.

My students enjoyed making the animal sculptures out of the clay you donated.

They had such a great time creating, painting, and constructing the displays for their chosen critter. Several students told me how happy they were to be able to do this project and what fun they had while doing it.”

  • Teaching Technology

    Funded Jan 20, 2022

Thank you so much for your contribution to our project. The students are enjoying learning to code. With the use of their new headphones they are able to concentrate while listening to the instruction and work at their own pace.

The students were really excited when we received the new headphones. There are now enough headphones for every student in the class. They enjoy the bright colors and the quality of sound.

These headphones have especially helped my special needs students. They are able to concentrate and understand the lessons easily with the help of this technology.”

  • Makers and Making Masks

    Funded Oct 17, 2020

Our students are so excited to have these art and building supplies. It has allowed our students to learn about Presenting, Creating and Connecting with visual art, music, drama and engineering. Our students used the materials to create animal masks to use in a presentation of "The First Music" by Dylan Pritchett. The students loved it and really enjoyed making their own masks. This would not have been possible without the funds provided by you. It is very important that our school be able to offer a STEAM education to our students. STEAM classes help to prepare them to succeed in school and in life. Thank you for giving our students the opportunities to be inspired through the arts and engineering.”

  • Coding With Chrome Books

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

The chromebooks are helping my students to learn to code. We have been coding using a free website called coding.org. They use popular video games to teach the behind the scenes of how these games are coded and then challenge the students to code these well known characters to accomplish tasks. These activities use a lot of critical thinking and problem solving skills in a fun and engaging way. My students are loving it even our special needs students are proving very motivated and successful with these activities. Thank you so much for funding this project.”

  • Jr. Botball Challenge

    Funded May 10, 2019

Thank you so much for allowing me to attend the Pathfinders Institute Jr. Botball

program. It was so much fun and I learned a lot about coding. On Day 1, I received my

robot kit. I learned how to build it and then learned how to operate it. It was very

exciting when I was able to program the robot to pick up a can and to do the hokey

pokey. My favorite was when we added the sensors and it could follow a black line. I

can't wait to show my students what my robot can do. I will now be able to teach my

students what I have learned. I look forward to seeing their success when they can program the robot to do the challenges also.”

  • Lights, Action, Camera

    Funded Dec 17, 2008

Thank you so much for your generosity. My students will be able to accomplish more and feel successful about their performances because of your donation. I can't wait to get started filming all the wonderful things they do in Music class. I am very excited for my students. They will have many more opportunities for growth and be able to better assess their accomplishments now. Plus it will be easier to share with their parents what it is we do in Music and to promote Fine Arts in our community. Thank you again.

    Sincerely,

    Tany”
