Learning Station Materials
Funded May 10, 2024Thank you so much to all of the generous donors who made this project possible. I have been able to purchase learning materials tailored to my students' language learning needs.
I was able to print, laminate and organize these materials to be easily accessed by students. This is especially helpful as I teach students of varying language abilities and am able to continue purchasing differentiated materials that are fun and engaging.
On behalf of myself and the many students I work with, thank you again!”

Staying Hydrated and Helping the Environment
Funded Nov 15, 2019On behalf of our school's Student Council and Green Team I would like to express our profound gratitude for all of our generous benefactors. We were able to obtain a BPA free, reusable and re washable water bottle for each student in the school. We are in the process of creating personalized waterproof labels with each students' name and class. The group of students tasked with unpacking, labeling and distributing materials could barely contain their excitement while unpacking the boxes. Our next steps for integrating the use of these materials into the students' every day lives, include an awareness campaign about the importance of reducing the amount of plastic discarded, reusing what they already have (refilling their water bottle each day), and recycling .”

Funded Dec 9, 2018My students and I have been using the resources you so generously donated on an ongoing basis. The materials were originally requested for a Multicultural foods project which was a great success. The students participated in literacy activities surrounding a food that is unique to their culture. Students used the materials we had donated to decorate a plate and to share their or their families culturally specific foods. Having the color printer/copier, paper and ink allowed us to take a print pictures in the classroom, print colorful flags from all the countries represented, and to copy any original pictures and or artifacts the children brought to share.
Your generous donation made this special project possible and as an added bonus we have been using the decorative paper and scrapbook supplies to illustrate our writing pieces.
Thank You again!”

Funded Aug 22, 2018My students and I greatly appreciate your generous donation that provided for us a variety of motivating seating options. My students, English Language Learners in Kindergarten through fifth grade, are all able to benefit from these materials either when they visit my classroom, or when I push in to work with them in their classroom, as I store the materials on a wheeled cart that I take with my from room to room. Students use the variety of seats which range from wobble chairs, beanbags, floor cushions, rubber sensory pillows, and carpet squares. These flexible seating options not only add excitement they allow students to feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed. Thank you again!!!”

Funded Mar 29, 2017My students and I have been using the resources you so generously donated on an ongoing basis. The materials were originally requested for a family literacy event which was a great success. The students participated in literacy activities surrounding a book about the history of immigration. During this event families brought desserts from their cultures to share. Additionally each family used the materials we had donated to decorate a scrapbook page and to share their or their ancestors immigration experience. Having the color printer/copier, paper and ink allowed us to take a print pictures that night, print colorful flags from all the countries represented, and to copy any original pictures and or artifacts the families brought to share.

Funded Mar 7, 2017My students and I have been using the resources you so generously donated on an ongoing basis. The house of sounds is especially useful with students in grades K and 1 as well as brand newcomers. The realia provided helps students assign meaning to the new sounds they are learning and pronouncing. Additionally the pronunciation phones are used whenever we learn new vocabulary. These are used throughout all grades, they allow students to practice speaking aloud without fear or nervousness. The instant learning games library provides for learning disguised as fun. Students are able to practice and master the particular language objective in a small group game context.
When the materials first arrived we were all so excited to begin using them. An added benefit is the understanding that strangers would take such an interest in their learning to generously donate to make their educational experience so much better. We recently had a fundraiser at our school to benefit a non-profit organization that provides sensory friendly events for children on the Autism spectrum. One of my students commented that they were donating to help others the same way we had materials donated to help us.
Again thank you so much for your help!”
