  • Fun Incentives and Journaling Materials to De-stress!

    Funded Mar 7, 2025

Thank you so much for providing my students with an opportunity to focus on their mental health. The resources you contributed will serve as incentives to motivate my students to overcome their struggles so they can focus on their education. There are no words to describe our gratitude for your generosity. We truly appreciate all that you did for us. Have a safe and happy day!”

  • A Document Camera That Will Transform Math Education!

    Funded Feb 14, 2025

Every math teacher needs a good document camera because it makes demonstration of concepts more visible to students. Students can see step by step worked out solutions to complex problems. It is also a great tool to allow student volunteers to show samples of their work and present to the whole class. The students are excited because they can be leaders in the classroom. Instead of always hearing the teacher do the talking, students can take charge of their learning by modeling lessons to their peers. All students benefit from this teaching and learning tool. Additionally, with the help of the wireless keyboard and mouse, students are able to move around the room during their modeling and control what is on the promethean board wirelessly. All of this was made possible because of your contributions. We truly appreciate you!”

  • Necessities in a Classroom!

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

The mini projector has made teaching and learning fun for my students. The mobility of the projector allowed me to project images and videos from different parts of my classroom where no matter where students sit, they were able to follow along during instruction. It was exciting to be able to watch rockets launching, and airplanes landing when discussing slopes in the real world. My students are excited to come to my class where the room environment is inviting and fun with colorful images and music unlike a traditional classroom. Furthermore, I have very different levels of students in my math classes. My artists and gamers favored the projector immediately because they can use it to trace art onto big poster paper and showcase their projects to the whole class. With the support of my donors, all of this and more was made possible. Thank you so much!”

  • Stem Education: Graphing Calculators!

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your contributions. Your donations have helped us complete the classroom set of graphing calculators that we tried to complete for a long time. As much as the school provided one set for all students (100) to share, it is very hard to do homework when we don't have a calculator at home. With your donations, I was able to assign graphing calculators for students to take home to complete their assignments. There are no words to express my and my students' gratitude toward your help. We wish you a happy holiday season and may only the best of things come your way. Thank you so much!!!”

  • Laptops to Expand Learning Opportunities for All Students

    Funded Oct 29, 2024

Your contributions have changed my students' educational lives! The laptops have allowed my Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Advisory students easy access to technology where they can use Desmos, Deltamath, IXL and many other math platforms to practice math concepts. All levels of students including my special education and gifted students are able to conduct research on math applications in real life (aviation, rockets launching, bridge building, etc.) and use the laptops to write and apply for college applications. It is extremely beneficial to have 3 additional mac laptops at our disposal in addition to the chromebooks we have at our school. Exposure to technology allowed my students to utilize 21st century skills to conduct STEM projects: rocket launching and aviation with paper airplanes. They were able to research the background of these inventions, apply and make math calculations, and design their own projects. All of these action steps were made possible because of donors like you. Thank you so much!”

  • A Phomemo Portable Thermal Printer Will Bring Liveliness to Math!

    Funded Aug 10, 2024

I utilize learning stations as a part of the teaching routine in my math classes. At each station, students work on a unique set of skills that target their learning needs. Thus, having a portable printer allows myself, my teacher assistants, and my students to make print-out of different topics as needed throughout the day. It saves me time for going to the school's main copy room where more teachers are also in line to use the machines. I am very efficient at utilizing class time to teach, thus, having technology at hands allow me to teach and target each student's individual needs. My students benefit tremendously when they have the handouts readily available when they walk into my class and less time is wasted.”

  • iPad for Ms. Pham

    Funded May 6, 2024

Thank you for all of your generous donations. With your help, I was able to purchase an iPad. An iPad has been beneficial to my students and I because it has allowed me to circulate around the room to provide feedback to my students, and to interact with them on a one-to -one level more frequently. I can take the iPad with me around the classroom while I'm helping my students. With an iPad, I am able to project my notes, worksheets, videos, and so much more. Without the iPad, I was restricted to providing direct instruction in only one spot. Besides being mobile in the classroom, the iPad has also helped me become more organized. I can save all of the teaching materials for different classes in different files and create new ones to provide my students with more visual aids or examples if needed. This was all made possible because of donors like you. Thank you!”

    Funded May 6, 2024

Thank you for all of your help! My classroom was in need of a good printer. Students can better comprehend and retain information with printed materials. For this reason, I provide my students with all of the worksheets and packets for the entire school year.

In today's society, we are constantly relying on technology. We stare at screens for hours on end, thus, being able to print out worksheets or reading materials can help manage screen time and decrease eye strain. My students are excited to use the printer because it is accessible to them whenever they need it. Recently, while working on a final project, my students printed out pictures, information, and text to attach it onto their poster boards. All students benefitted from using the printer but specifically, my special education students liked it the most! They are able to print other accommodations to assist them in learning math such as multiplication charts, plotting points practice for the holiday season and simple math facts reminders. The gift of the printer was amazing. Thank you so much!”

  • Positive Reinforcement: All Kids Deserve!

    Funded Feb 1, 2024

My students and I appreciate your generous donations. Thanks to you, I can give my amazing students small gifts as positive reinforcements for their efforts. Despite having so many distractions in and outside of school they still show up and put their best efforts. Having small rewards for them is a way to motivate them to stay engaged. When students do a great job on an assignment, ace a test, or have no missing assignments in my class I reward them with stickers, erasers, highlighters, and other cute gifts. Although the gifts are small, the recognition made an impact on their learning.”

  • STEM & Technology: Rocket Launchers for Math!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you for all of your generous donations! You have helped me provide my students with a fun and creative way to show real-life motion projectile examples. This project has allowed my students to bring out their creativity and participate more in class. It has also helped them visualize math in real life and provide them with a better understanding of how to calculate and analyze the different characteristics of Quadratic functions, including complex word problems. My students and I are thankful to all of our donors for giving us a chance to enhance our learning.”

Let's start by explaining how awesome and precious my students are despite the challenges they face every day. Their problems range from broken homes, abuse, neglect, drug addictions and the list goes on and on. The same students come to school every day craving the attention from their teachers, hoping to receive the support of their peers, and best of all working towards a better future. While other children may take technology for granted, my students are fascinated by the little that we have. The first time my Algebra 2 students had access to a graphing calculator they were so fascinated by it, they were afraid of scratching it or accidentally breaking it. My Algebra I students have not even seen a graphing calculator because I don't have enough for everyone to share. They want a chance at life and our school and teachers want to give them that chance.
