I am a first grade teacher at an urban school in a Reggio inspired classroom setting. My philosophy of teaching is that all children learn best through hands-on, meaningful, engaging experiences.Therefore, I believe one of my roles is to serve as a guide for children in their exploration and discovery of concepts. I also feel that one of my most important roles is to provide a safe classroom environment in which the children feel free to explore the many hands-on experiences provided for them. I truly enjoy teaching and love being able to inspire children daily to develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
