Clear Mask!
Funded Jan 22, 2021Thank you for all of your generosity! With your help, we were able to provide my students with a clear mask so they can practice their articulation/ social skills appropriately and effectively. Also, the clear pencil boxes that were included in your donation help provide our students with the safety and security that they need to receive a sanitary education while in school. Each student was fitted with their own mask and box to keep their pencils and other school supplies in so they won't have to share. This is essential, to keep the area and supplies clean and there is no potential risk for cross-contamination with sharing of supplies. Thank you!”

Therapeutic Supplies
Funded Nov 9, 2016Dear Donors,
My students and I would like to thank you for your generous donations! When the students saw all the new resources we were adding to our therapy room, they were all very excited and eager to use them all, especially the tablets!
Your donation provided my students with opportunities to strive in the therapy room as well as in their classrooms and at home. The tablets provide us with unlimited access to the web ( researching/finding facts), multiple apps that provide therapy for articulation (sounds in all positions of a word), cognitive developments (following directions of increasing length & complexity) , fluency ( disfluency: stuttering exercises), expressive & receptive language ( role playing/ describing), augmentative alternative communication apps (giving a student a voice to speak when they are unable to on their own), and so much more! The "Build a Paragraph Flip Book", " Sequence & Write Story Tiles" and "Hot Dots: Using Context Clues" allows my students to reach their academic goals given these modified strategies to help them find the correct answer.
Currently, students are working on a project titled "5 Year Ago", students use a graphic organizer to organize their thoughts and answer questions about the student they were five years ago. Students use the flip book to help them with creating complete sentences and cohesive paragraphs. They utilize the sequencing set, to help them put important events of their life ( using prior knowledge) in correct sequential order when including it in the project. Finally, the students use the tablets to create presentations to share within the group. They are currently creating avatars, and flip stories about the past five years and will present their work to the group in therapy.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!!! We hope you enjoy the pictures provided!
THANK YOU!!”
