I work in an inner city school that is home to our district's SAIL program for children who are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Out school is a Prek- Grade 6 school where 48% of students do not have English as their first language, 34% are students with disabilities, and 84% are high needs. I teach in a sub separate classroom for students who are in Grades 3&4. My students are unable to participate in general education classroom due to their disabilities.
I have 11 students who are unique and therefore have their own unique learning styles. Some learn visually, others learn verbally, and some do best with hands on activities.
