Supplies for Project Time and Exhibition
Funded Dec 1, 2024We thank you for your generous contributions to our environmental awareness project! Your support has allowed our high school students to engage with pressing issues like water pollution, climate change, and deforestation while sharing their knowledge with younger elementary school students.
Thanks to your donations, we were able to purchase essential supplies, including pencil boxes, pencils, label maker, and pens, which will help our students create engaging and interactive presentations. The materials will enable them to organize their research effectively and design colorful visual aids that captivate their audience. Your kindness is helping foster a sense of environmental stewardship among our students, empowering them to communicate vital issues creatively. We are excited to see how these high school students will inspire the younger generation to protect our planet actively. Again, Thank you for believing in our project. Together, we are making a difference!”

Funded Sep 18, 2024We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions to our project to improve the air quality in our classroom. Your support was instrumental in our mission to build Corsi-Rosenthal air filters, which are proven to reduce airborne pollutants and promote a healthier learning environment for our 9th graders. By donating essential materials like duct tape, you provided the supplies we needed; you actively created a space where students could thrive, free from the distractions of poor air quality.
The impact of your kindness goes beyond just the physical filters. These air purifiers will help remove dust, allergens, and viruses from the air, reducing the risk of respiratory issues and enhancing overall well-being. Your donation is vital to fostering a cleaner, healthier classroom that supports our students' ability to focus and learn effectively. Thank you for believing in our project and making a tangible difference in the lives of our students!”

Funded Jan 28, 2025Thank you so much for your generous donation to support my students! I am excited to share pictures of the brains and neurons they will create as we explore the fascinating world of the human brain, which contains approximately 100 billion neurons. In our Physics class, we are also learning about electricity, and this year, I have incorporated the role of electricity in the human body. This includes how electrical impulses travel along nerves to send signals throughout the body, enabling functions such as movement, thought, sensation, and even the beating of the heart. Your support makes this learning experience possible, and I truly appreciate it!”

Healthy Students Need Clean Rooms
Funded Jan 18, 2025I appreciate your donations allowing us new cleaning supplies and snacks for our classroom! The cleaning supplies will benefit my room and be available for any teachers in need. With our active classrooms, these supplies will make it much easier to maintain a tidy environment, thanks to your generous support. As for the snacks, your timing couldn't be better! Just last week, my students expressed their desire for some tasty treats. I can’t wait to tell them on Tuesday that snacks are on the way, all thanks to you! My 9th graders are going to be so excited! Thank you once again for your kindness!”

What is Forgiveness?
Funded Sep 17, 2024Thank you for your generous support in purchasing a classroom set of "Victims on Both Ends of the Gun." This powerful book serves as a vital resource for our students as we embark on our Forgive it Forward Project. The narrative of Tariq Khamisa and Tony Hicks, along with their families' journey toward forgiveness, introduces essential themes such as empathy, accountability, and the profound impact of violence on individuals and communities.
Through this text, we aim to cultivate emotional intelligence and teach our students the significance of forgiveness in fostering healing and personal growth. In our classroom, reading is an interactive and reflective experience. Students engage in rich discussions, allowing them to express their thoughts and feelings about complex emotional topics. As teachers, we will foster openness to exploring these narratives to ensure a supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing personal reflections. By analyzing the characters' experiences, students are developing critical literacy skills and learning to navigate their emotions, ultimately empowering them to forgive themselves and others.
We are excited to witness the transformation as our students delve into this tragic yet inspiring story. The resources you've helped provide will enable them to engage thoughtfully with the material, write forgiveness letters, and cultivate resilience. Your contributions are helping to create a classroom culture centered around compassion and understanding, which will resonate with our students long after this project concludes. Thank you for being a crucial part of this journey toward healing and forgiveness.”

Funded Nov 14, 2024Thank you for generously supporting our project, Let's Hold It Together! Your contributions allowed us to secure the final supplies—duct tape, painter's tape, and other materials—needed to complete our Corsi-Rosenthal air filters. This project has been an incredible opportunity for my students to learn about science and engineering while making a meaningful impact on their classroom environment.
With your help, my students gained hands-on experience designing and building air purifiers. They learned how materials like duct tape play a crucial role in sealing and securing the filters, ensuring they work effectively to reduce airborne pollutants such as dust, allergens, and even viruses. This project taught them about air quality science and reinforced critical STEM skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and design. Seeing their excitement as they tackled challenges and celebrated their successes was truly enjoyable.
The completed filters are now improving air quality in our classroom and others across the school. Cleaner air means fewer respiratory issues, a healthier learning environment, and fewer missed school days due to illness. These tangible results have shown my students how STEM can be used to solve real-world problems, sparking curiosity and a sense of empowerment that will stay with them far beyond this project.
Your support made this all possible, and we're deeply grateful for your investment in their education and well-being. Together, we're helping to create healthier classrooms and inspiring the next generation of STEM innovators.”

Funded Nov 13, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our Clear Air, Bright Minds: Classroom Air Filter Project project. Because of your generosity, my students were able to build Corsi-Rosenthal air purifiers and take real steps to improve the air quality in our school. This hands-on project didn't just teach them about the impact of air quality on health—it gave them the chance to do something about it! Thanks to you, we now have cleaner air in 14 classrooms, helping everyone focus, feel better, and stay healthier.
This project was such an amazing learning experience for the students. They used air sensors to measure CO₂ and particulate levels, analyzed their data, and then built purifiers to help fix the problem. Seeing their hard work make a real difference in their school was so rewarding, and it wouldn't have been possible without your support. You've helped them see how science can be used to solve real-world problems and make a positive change in their community.
We're so grateful for your generosity and for believing in our students and this project. You've made a lasting impact on their learning and on the air we breathe every day. Thank you!”

Funded Oct 31, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our Filling Their Heads and Bellies classroom project. Your kindness made a huge difference for our ninth-grade Physics students during their field trips to Balboa Park and Old Town. These trips were all about bringing Physics to life, and because of you, every student had the energy they needed to enjoy the day and make the most of the experience. Your support ensured that no one had to worry about being hungry and could focus fully on the fun and learning.
The snacks you provided were such a big help in keeping our students energized and engaged. Ninth graders are always on the go (and always hungry!), and your kindness allowed us to meet this need. Before we headed out, students could grab snacks and pack them for the day, staying fueled for all the walking, learning, and exploring. You helped turn stored energy into motion—and showed our students just how much a supportive community can accomplish. Thank you!”
