If my class had these drawing boards they would be able to go outside and draw in the field. These boards support the paper and offer a smoothe surface to draw on. These board would play two roles in the classroom. We would also use them as a great surface to tape down watercolor. Students would be able to tape the paper to this board and work for several days without having to remove their work. We are currently using cardboard for our paintings. Cardboard leaves ripples when you draw on top of it and it does not like water. I have always said that there is a right tool for every job. Having these boards would prove that statement. We really need these in our classroom. Getting the kids outside the classroom will add variety to their day of being indoors. It is something they will look forward to that will break up the school day. Students take great pride in their work when they have their own space for working. These boards would offer personal space for every student. They are the perfect size for a class of 35 when space is an issue. Taking this large class outside will enlarge our classroom space and put smiles on all of our faces. I hope you will consider supporting this project. The students will be so excited and eager to use these new boards outside.
