My student population is 50% ESL, 45% White, and 5% African American. 85% of my students are on free and reduced lunch. Over 90% of my students never leave the area we live in and have never been to a beach, the mall, or out of the rural country. That is why I give them books that provide them adventures and places to explore that they will never get to go in their wildest dreams. My students are grateful, thankful, and loving. I drive past more than 10 schools to get here each day because I love my students and my school so much. These 890 students are my children, along with my own 2 personal kids. They are rough around the edges, but once they know you love them, they love you with all they have.
