I have a beautiful class of 20 second grade students in San Francisco, California. They live in the Tenderloin Community where most all my students receive "free lunch" because they are in a high poverty community. The majority of my students are also ELL learners which means that English is their second language. There are about 27 different languages that are spoken in the families that attend my school. These students have a lot of potential, but have not had the resources that are necessary for optimal learning. Because they are ELL learners, visuals, technology and hands-on learning are essential for their learning process.
