  • Train Like Champions!

    Funded May 22, 2023

    The batons and hurdles arrived just in time for the new school year. Many of the girls on my track team from the previous year are now my current students. When the items arrived, they actually helped me to open them and were quite excited to see that we now have practice hurdles to help us develop our jumping, pacing, timing and much more.

    Also, there are enough batons for every relay group on the team including the boy's teams. This equipment will definitely aid in striving to be the best and the 2024 girls and boys track champions!”

    My students are excited about the new laptop and tablet which are available for their classroom use. Already, they have conducted research on the tablet and used the laptop to publish essays and other assignments requiring a word processor. Furthermore, these devices have become extremely important considering that their one to one devices have been taken up for the remainder of the year. Students are now able to continue to complete assignments and any final projects that they have. Thank you so much for your generosity and I look forward to sharing more of these experiences.”

  • Voila! Presto Printing for Picassos

    This printer is a god-send! It has been a great resource for my students to see their works come to life. Particularly, students who do not have a printer or access to one are able to have the same opportunities to publish quality products. This has enhanced their confidence in their abilities and desire to accomplish their work. One of the projects that utilized the printer gifted by Donors Choose, had a one hundred percent participation of all of my students! They were so excited to see their works published and shared with their peers, family, and other school personnel. I am elated as their teacher to see the creativity shown by these students as well. Additionally, this printer is also user-friendly for Android as well as my Apple/I-phone users, which make up the majority of my students. Accessibility, convenience and efficiency of this printer will free up my students from having to find resources and means to produce and publish their works and masterpieces.
