Labels, Labels, Read All About Them!
Funded Apr 6, 2023Your generous donation has helped to make our classroom run more smoothly and efficiently. The teachers and students in the class can locate necessary learning materials more easily because they are so organized and clearly labeled. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our classroom more beautiful and streamlined!
As last school year ended, we were able to organize materials and prepare for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Students will have clearly labeled materials with their names, group names, subject areas, etc. Teaching materials will also be clearly labeled so that they may be used and then put back in order. Student learning materials will also be clearly labeled so that students can find and use reading, writing, science and math materials to support their learning and then work on life skills to put things back in an orderly fashion. Thank you, thank you!
Your generous donations will impact student learning for years to come!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT.If You Build It, You'll Have Fun!!
Funded Apr 21, 2022Words cannot express the fun and excitement you have added to our Fun Fridays. The students cannot get enough Fun Friday choice time to imagine and build their creations with the jumbo magnetic tiles that you helped to provide. The conversation's that come out of the interactions are wonderful as well!! "Please help me build this." "Let's build a car together." "Can I have the blue square?" The materials have encouraged my students, who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, to interact with each other at a higher rate -- speaking, asking, sharing, etc.. These are skills that are typically difficult for students with Autism. Thank you for providing such motivating materials to help my students practice and further succeed in the class as well as later in life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you for your generous donation to make printing on-demand possible in our classroom. When my student saw the printer set up in the classroom, they wondered what it was. When I started to print something for them to see, they were in amazement!
Having a classroom printer has been a game changer!! I am able to print color photos to enhance learning of various concepts in general and writing assignments in particular. I am able to make copies of student writing so that they are able to take a copy home to share with family members and to have as keepsakes too. I am able to print materials to support hands-on learning in reading and math.
One of the things that has been so useful is that when a student misplaces a paper, such as song lyrics for a school-wide Black History Month video project, I was able to make extra copies immediately, saving instructional time from having to wait for extra copies from the office.
My students and I appreciate the printer and ink that you have helped to provide us. Please know that the materials are in daily use and make a positive impact on our learning in so many ways as well. Thank you!!”

Funded Nov 10, 2021The students have been super excited to read their new leveled books. The students who are currently reading at a guided reading level E-I were the most excited as our current library at the time had mainly levels A-D. They could not wait to read books that were just right for them and grow and grow through the levels.
The variety of fictional and non fictional titles and topics have met the interest levels of every student in the class. Those who are not reading at a higher level yet, enjoy listening to stories read by me and other students. The rich text and lovely pictures have truly invited the students to stay focused for 15-20 minutes, easily. They would read for longer if time permitted.
The books that you have donated are a part of our daily reading instruction routine. Students pick books to read when they finish assignments early. They are able to freely choose books when they are at the library during small groups rotations. Some have even borrowed books to read at home as they do not have any at their particular just-right reading level. In the midst of growing their reading level, they are also learning responsibility to keep their books clean while at their house and to return them to school safely.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your donation will continue to positively impact our learning for years to come.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021My students were so happy and super excited to see all of the magnetic boards activities that you helped to bring into our classroom. These self-contained activities have been a fun part of our small groups rotation. And as students use the boards they are reinforcing concepts they have previously learned while also developing their fine motor skills. In addition, they are improving their pencil grip.
Your donations are put to use on a daily basis. Words cannot express how very thankful we are for people like you who enjoy supporting classrooms like ours!
I know that my students' learning will continue to grow in fun ways because of you. Thank you, thank you!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by #TeachHealthy with Nature Made.By Teachers, for Teachers!
Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you for your support toward giving me access to materials on the Teachers Pay Teachers website that allow me to enhance my lessons in the classroom. I have been able to find supplemental materials to help my students with special needs better access the curriculum as well has practice skills they have already learned so that they can maintain such learning.
The most fun we have had is finding materials to learn with on Twos Day, 2/22/22. We were able to find word searches, games, math and reading practice, and even a hat to make in celebration of this "historic" day, 2/22/22 (on a Tuesday!). We have also had lots of fun and positive learning experiences with materials to add to our social studies units. We took a closer look at continents and oceans as well.
My students enjoy the additional materials we use in connection to the standards-based curriculum. They know that each time we learn something new in your curriculum books, they will learn more about it in a hands-on way with other worksheets and projects as well.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

This classroom project was brought to life by #TeachHealthy with Nature Made.Wobble, Wobble, Wobble
Funded Jan 1, 2022My students with Autism sometimes feel the need to wiggle and move around more than most typically developing children. The wobble seats that you have helped to provide have been a game-changer in our classroom. Students are able to stay at their seats and complete assignments instead of get up and walk around as some usually did in the past. They would try to find various reasons to get up and walk around the classroom, whether it was to throw away a small piece of trash or look at something on the wall well across the room. Nowadays, the wobble seats meet these sensory needs and students are completing their work in a timely manner. We thank you so much. The work that you do to provide classrooms filled with children of color and with special needs, the materials they need and deserve, will make an impact on this world in more ways than you realize right now. Thank you!!”

Funded Nov 10, 2021My students' jaws dropped and only oooohs and ahhhhs could be heard when they entered the classroom and saw the table filled with new materials I had laid out to surprise them.
The materials that you have provided including money puzzles, play money bills, and other money related games and activities have added to our learning program in our classroom. My students are becoming more and more familiar with coins and the worth of each penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. They have been practicing addition using play money bills. For this past Two's Day, 2/22/22, we figured different ways to make $22 dollars with bills. After practicing whole group students tried to make $22 on their own as well. Additionally the puzzles and other activities you provided, make for wonderful learning centers for students to rotate through since my paraprofessional and I are only able to see one group of students each. The "independent" group has been well occupied with puzzles and quizzes using the magic pen that you provided.
Our plan is to continue working on our financial literacy skills and develop a class money system where students are reward with "money" and use the "money" for the "purchase" of prizes at the end of each month.
I cannot thank you enough for setting us up for success while on our journey toward financial literacy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Funded May 28, 2021The individual math resources and manipulatives bags that you helped to provide have been an immeasurable support to my students with special needs. We have used the composition books for daily math word problems. Students are able to record their work and answers in them and I am able to keep all their work in one location as a valuable record of their growth in learning mathematics. The growth mindset journals have been a source of concise mini lessons for students to develop a growth mindset and learn to persevere through tough learning experiences in the classroom as well as some difficult life situations at home. My students who often struggle with trying at something that's seemingly difficult for them upon first glance, now see challenges as fun and something they can overcome with time and practice. The fraction pieces are a useful resource for students to not only learn how to build "pies" as they like to call them, but also to compare fractions, add fractions, and discuss fractions and how they relate to other fractions. The faces on the students when they saw they would each have their own set of materials was epic! Huge smiles from ear to ear!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!”

Funded Mar 23, 2021My students with special needs were greatly impacted by the pandemic and move to online learning. Though we managed to continue a sense of routine and good work habits while online, I knew that a return to in-person class instruction would require additional resources. The materials that you helped to provide my class, including a lesson planner, visual daily schedule, visual instruction signs, and small group rotation chart, have helped to make our transition back to the classroom that much more smooth and positive.
The students and I use the materials on a daily basis. I have a few students with limited speech and understanding of verbal instruction. The visuals for things like, "Eyes on me," "Clean up time," and "Quiet please," have been extremely useful to get the students to acclimate to in-person, classroom routines. I will soon have students hold up these signs and be classroom leaders themselves. Similarly, the visual schedule and visual small group rotation charts have helped students feel at ease with the daily happenings since they know exactly what is coming up next in our day.
Thank you for helping to ease out transition back into the classroom. Our school year would not have started the same way without the materials you helped to provide.”
