My students are 9th graders from latino, Asian, African-American and middle eastern backgrounds. Many of them are English Language learners and have special needs. Almost alll students are low-income. At my current school, I am math teacher as well as the restorative justice coordinator at my school. With over 10 years teaching experience in middle and high school math, I do my best to support progressive discipline and student autonomy at my school. I also try to support and expand opportunities for my students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
