  • Small Tables for Small Groups

    Funded Oct 23, 2021

Thank you for your generous donations! Our two classroom tables are amazing. We have two smaller-sized kidney tables in our classroom. The tables take up less space in our classroom, and most importantly, when children are sitting at the table, they are closer to the teacher.

The tables are used for small group reading and math instruction. Having students closer to the teacher allows for more intense instruction. The tables enable my classroom para and me to get students the help they need more effectively. I can be closer to the students while providing some intensive instruction. The children also like that they are not spread out across the table. The teacher is right there to help them.

Thank you again for your generous donations in providing my class with two small kidney tables.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moon

  • Reducing the Glare

    Funded Oct 23, 2021

Thank you for donating to my reduced glare and light project. The purpose of my project was to get light covers for all of the lights in my classroom. My first graders do lots of learning on the carpet in front of the whiteboard and TV with lessons on Google Slides. I noticed that some of the children could not see because there was a glare on the TV or whiteboard. That is when I began to look into light covers.

The light covers are amazing. They filter the lights enough that children are able to see the board or TV in the front of the room when they are sitting in their carpet spots. The light covers have also helped reduce the glare on papers and work when students are sitting at their desks. The reduced glare of the lights has also helped me develop a calming atmosphere in the classroom.

Thank you from myself and my first-grade class for your generous donations that have provided us with reduced light and glare throughout our day.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moon

We live in Wyoming! We live in a small community where there is not much shopping and lots of outdoor adventure time. There are several sections of each grade level at our school. I have between 16 and 18 students throughout the school year. I have the best class of students this year. They are really excited about everything. My students are taking on reading independently for about 30 minutes each day.
