I have a classroom of 20 students who are curious as much as any other kids. The major interest this year is about how the human body and the mind work. They are interested in living a healthy life style, which is surprising to me. I have never had a young group of individuals already thinking about truly being fit for the future. Our school is located in a low social-economic area in our district. The students have very limited resources at home and in the neighborhood which limits the cognitive and physical learning that goes on afterschool.
