  • We Need Printer Ink to Help Us Think!

    Funded Feb 8, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation of toner for our classroom. Your kindness and generosity will allow my students to publish their writing projects, as well as print out research. My class is very grateful to be chosen for funding. We understand that you could have chosen any project to fund on Donor's Choose, but you chose us! We are extremely appreciative for this gift, and are honored that you showed interest in our classroom. Have a blessed day!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. George

  • We Need Toner to Print out our Essays and Projects!

    Funded Dec 1, 2015

    Dear Donors,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for helping to fund our HP Toner Project in our classroom. Through your generous donations my students were able to print out their classroom essays, print research and other various information for classroom projects, print out letters and brochures for site visitation projects, print out charts and graphs for mathematics, and print out computer generated art projects. My students were most excited to have the opportunity to print out the final drafts of their classroom essays on a continuous basis. Printer toner can be so very expensive, and with 26 students in my classroom, keeping the toner cartridge continuously restocked is not always financially feasible.

When the new toner arrived the students were ecstatic. The feeling of knowing that there would be enough toner to carry us through the school-year brought our class great joy. The students were very grateful for the generosity of each and every donor to our toner project. I feel that it is very important for young children to realize that there are indeed kind and generous people in the world that are willing to give without the expectation of receiving anything in return. They are giving through the goodness in their hearts. Kindness is contagious, and if students are touched by kindness there is a very high possibility of them someday doing the same for someone else. Isn't that really what its all about? People helping people?

The next step for my students is our current comic book project. Due to the very generous contributions of each and every one of you, every student will be able to print out not only their art and dialogue, but their entire published end result. We are very excited and extremely grateful to be afforded this opportunity, and cannot thank you enough for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. George
