Calming Area

Many of my students experience challenges regulating their emotions. Recently, a student was having difficulties and needed a moment to calm down. They came to my room and took a break in the "calming corner". They sat on the bean bag and used the instruments to help bring their heightened emotions back down to a restful state. The student was eventually ready to go back to class. I am grateful to offer a safe space for my students and I know this would not have been possible without the generosity of donors and this amazing platform, Donors Choose!!”
