My Pre- Kindergarten students are enthusiastic, bright, sweet, energetic and creative four year olds. They are eager to learn and excited about the new world of learning that they are discovering every time they come to school. My students love to use their imagination through arts and crafts.
Our school is a Title 1 school. The majority of my students qualify for the free breakfast and lunch program. Most of my students are English learners. They come from low income families. For most of them this is their first time in a school setting. Sadly most of them have never had the access to important basic school supplies at their homes. For most of my students this is the first time experiencing with basic art materials and doing arts and crafts. Most of them have never held a pencil, crayon, played with Play-Doh or used scissors before. Despite their daily challenges and struggles, they come to school everyday ready to learn and with a big bright smile.
