Let's Get Creative and Challenged with STEM!
Funded Nov 18, 2014"We love the materials you purchased for us!"
"What would we have done without these materials?!?!"
"I like the contraptions the best!"
These are just a few of the quotes from my students regarding the materials that you helped purchase. These quotes do not even summarize what goes on in the classroom while they explore and create with these activities. The students really delve into their chosen activity and are able to create some pretty amazing structures with the KEVA materials, the QuBaMaze, and Marble Runs. The students use these materials during math time as well as during rainy day recesses. I'm not sure who is more excited (the students or myself) for exploring the snap circuits and robot materials after Spring Break!
Thank you again for making this school year more creative and engaging by purchasing these materials. They will continue to be used for years to come!”

Digital Voice Recorders for Literacy
Funded Nov 8, 2011It has come to my attention that I never completed my thank you letter for this project. I really do apologize. Your donation really meant a lot to my students and I continue to use the materials that your donation purchased.
The students in my class are struggling to read. With your donation I was able to purchase mini voice recorders that the students use regularly to record themselves as they read. After doing so, the students listen to themselves. Then they try it again. The fluency that they gain is unmeasurable.
Thank you again for your donation.”

"They are really fun to play. We really like to play them."
"I've been learning how to code with Color Code."
"I love Logic!"
"We love challenges and these activities really challenge us!"
These are just a few quotes from my students after using the purchased materials from your donation. Thank you again for your donation. The students always look forward to using them, they cooperate, and they have really enhanced our school year while challenging the students!”

Small Group Materials
Funded Nov 10, 2009Thank you for your generosity during this school year. I am thrilled that this project has been funded! My students were so excited to open the boxes from the mail and find new games inside!
Games are something that I love to play when I am out of school, with friends or family for fun. Being able to share my love of games with my students is not only a treat for me, but a huge benefit for my students as they can see the importance of having fun while learning.
Simple games teach patience, strategy, fairness, sportsmanship, AND the work to reinforce counting and literacy skills, AS WELL AS fine motor skills.
Thank you again for making a difference in my classroom!”

Listen Up!
Funded Jan 1, 2009Thank you so very much for taking the time to donate to my classroom. Having a listening center will be an invaluable resource for my students who are learning how to read. As you can imagine, many of my students' parents don't read in English, so having a listening center will provide my students with more opportunities to hear the English language - which will strengthen their skills. And it's fun! Thank you again. I really appreciate it”
