We Need Recess Options!
Funded Feb 23, 2022My students and I would like to thank you again for donating to our project. I can attest that the students use the equipment daily. Students are also responsible for taking the equipment out to the blacktop and putting it away at the end of each day. Everyone wants that job!
The equipment is holding up well and is child friendly. We will have the equipment for a long time. Great investment :) Overall, the students at our school are very thankful. They now have additional activities at recess and really appreciate it!”

Help Us Focus Next School Year!
Funded Aug 30, 2021Thank you very much for donating to our third grade project. The pandemic has been difficult for most all of the students at our school. The materials purchased with your donation have provided all of the 3rd grade students with extra support to hopefully fill in gaps that may be as a result of the pandemic.
The students were very excited when we opened the boxes of materials. Kids love to get a brand new book, even if it is a workbook. They have been asking daily if they are going to do work in the books. We are thinking of letting them take them home over the holidays to explore further. We love it when students are motivated and take charge of their own learning.”

Funded Apr 19, 2016Thank you so very much for donating to our classroom. As a result of this project our classroom has been much cleaner at the end of the day resulting in a fresh, clean start the following morning!
These students really do love to clean. Who knew? They share the materials well and for once, SWEEPER is a coveted job on our classroom job chart! We used to hear groans on Monday morning when I announced the weekly jobs, now they are excited to sweep and vacuum!
Seriously, if you are trying to figure out how to get them to clean their rooms, buy them special cleaning instruments :)”

More Arts Education Please!
Funded Dec 30, 2015Thank you for taking the time to donate to my classroom project. Because of donors like you, I am able to complete extra curricular creative projects with my students. One of our favorite times of the school year is our winter workshop when we create and work on an art-based project every day in December.
My students were very excited when our new art supplies arrived. They immediately wanted to see everything and I could hear them begin to talk about projects that they wanted to create with the materials. Personally, I can not wait to plan our next project-based learning activity!
Thank you again for donating to my classroom. In a way, you are making memories!”

Funded Mar 11, 2016Thank you for donating to our classroom! When the box of whiteboards and erasers arrived, the kids were thrilled to open it. They were even more excited that these whiteboards would replace our old ones... "These new ones don't have any writing on the back of them!" "Are these erasers so we don't have to use Kleenex anymore?" These were a couple of the comments I heard during the unwrapping/opening of the box.
The students use whiteboards multiple times a week -- in math, in writing, and as a hard surface to write upon anytime they aren't at their desks. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to replace the old ones with these. Thank you again for being so generous!”

Funded Mar 9, 2016Thank you so very much for donating to our classroom. When we received the boxes in the mail the kids were thrilled! Some of them asked if they could play video games. Oh the projects and uses I have planned for these iPads! They have no idea! :)
With state testing right around the corner, we won't have access to our school iPad carts and these iPads will allow us to continue our small groups. As soon as these iPads are charged up we will start incorporating them into our small math group rotation. We will also use them in writing (thanks for the keyboards too!).
Thank you again for being so very generous!”

I Can Hear You, but Can't See You!
Funded Nov 18, 2015Thank you so much for funding the purchase of risers for our school. We have two large choirs of around 70 students each, and when they all perform together on the stage at their concerts it can be very to find an appropriate spot for each student. The risers made it possible for every student to be seen and heard by their families and friends. They also help our rehearsals run more smoothly, as students are able to quickly find a spot where they can see me.
When the students first used the risers, they were very excited! Most of them had never seen risers before and everyone wanted a turn to try them out. They were eager to help me unwrap them and set them up.
Right now in choir we are working on selecting songs for our spring concert. The students are excited to be picking from a diverse mix of choral songs, pop songs, songs from different cultures and songs with two and three part harmonies. The risers are used at every rehearsal, and have made a big difference!
Sincerely, Kelsey French”

Cover my Chalkboard with a Whiteboard so it's User Friendly!
Funded Oct 12, 2011Thank you for donating to my project. Because of your donation, I was able to cover my old chalboard with a whiteboard. By doing so, my classroom became much more engaging as well as lighter and more colorful (due to the colorful expo markers that I started to use).
Since your donation, I have moved classrooms, but I left the whiteboard in the classroom in which it was installed for the incoming teacher to use. I want you to know that your donation will continue to be used for years to come!
Thank you again for donating to such a wonderful cause!”

Just the Facts! (Multiplication, That Is!)
Funded Nov 10, 2015Thank you once again for donating to our classroom. The look on the students faces when we opened the boxes can not be measured. They were ecstatic! Since receiving the materials, the students have worked hard to learn their multiplication facts. Each morning they challenge themselves and their classmates in a new way. This makes learning the 'dreaded' times tables a lot more bearable. I can honestly say the materials have had a huge impact on the students' learning. Without donors like you, this experience could not have been possible. Thank you so much!”

Writers Love to Celebrate!
Funded May 5, 2015Last school year your donation made a huge impact on students' writing lives. But I forgot to take pictures at the end of the school year. My apologies.
Up until this school year, we used to staple our published pieces but they didn't look very professional. Imagine how thrilled my students were this school year to bind our books at the end of our very first writing unit! They took so much pride in their work as they took the time to create a beautiful cover for their books. As you can tell from the photos, these books look like professional published pieces.
Thank you for your donation! It is going to make a world of difference for years to come!”
