• We love to READ!

  Thank you for donating to my project. The kids are going to love having access to these books in our classroom library. I like to allow students to borrow books but sometimes they go missing. • Criss Cross Apple Sauce

• We Want to Grow Our Garden!

  Our garden is growing!

  Thanks to you, our garden is beginning to thrive. Every week the students spend time in the garden during our 6th grade elective rotation. They absolutely love it.

  The students planted seeds in the starter pots. When they were big enough, they transferred them into the garden beds. They did research to determine which plants would be good companions for which and made signs for each plant they transferred into the garden. The students water the garden beds daily. We also received a free wood chip drop and the students have raked most of the huge pile through out the floor of the garden. It's really coming together!

• 6th Graders Smell!

  Thank you for taking the time to donate to our project.

  Because of your generosity, our classroom smells so much better! Because of you, I have given the students the ability to take care of their bodies when they need something. We love the phrase, don't offend a friend, lol.

  I appreciate not having to dig into my pockets for basic personal hygiene products for my students. The students would like to thank you as well. They love the independence when they need something. They also said they want to grow up and give back to kids. :)

• Got Mail... Boxes?!

  Because of your donation(s), our classroom organization has improved. Students are now responsible for cleaning out their mailboxes at the end school day. But the part I like the best I not taking up class time to pass back papers or hand out flyers. I simply put them in the student mailboxes in a fraction of the time.

• Interactive Math Notebooks

  Thank you for taking the time to donate to our 6th grade project. With the funds donated, we were able to make MANY purchases that have increased student achievement. Our favorite was definitely the interactive math notebooks (our original intention). While using the interactive math notebooks, I have heard students comment, "I've never understood math until this year!" and "This is so much easier to take note and look back when I don't understand."

  I want to personally thank you, because by donating to this project, I didn't have to recreate the wheel. I was able to find something that worked for me and my students without hours of work. You have given me the gift of time!

• Student Store!

  Thank you for donating to our project. So far this school year, our 6th grade students have had opportunities to sell candy grams at Halloween, holiday grams before winter break, and kindness grams (the week before Valentine's day) during our school's kindness week. The items you helped purchase made this possible.

  We are now looking into having an everyday student store available for students to purchase school supplies and healthy snacks at recess. The students are really looking forward to it. They have taken on such great leadership roles with the materials purchased and I can't wait to see what they do next. Thanks again!”

• Read Alouds

  Thank you for donating to our project! We finished reading The Outsiders and did an amazing culminating activity with both sixth grade classes. The kids really loved the book. We even watched the movie! The kids are still talking about this book...

  We are currently reading A Long Walk to Water. They are really getting into this one as well. And it ties into our Social Studies, another win!

  I am hoping that these books leave lasting impressions on the students. And thanks to you they were able to hold these books in their hands and really enjoy them. And they will continue to be enjoyed for years to come!”

• Headphones for Focus

  Funded Aug 9, 2022

  These headphones are amazing and they are holding up well! I can not express how much easier these headphones are to use than the ones we were previously using. Thank you!! And the feature of the ear portion folding flat is helpful with space saving.

  The kids never complain about wearing their headphones anymore. They are being responsible with them and I predict I will be using them for years to come!
