Our 6th graders were trilled to use the hands on manipulatives and to read the books about Autism. They use the gel manipulatives in the calm corner to regulate their emotions. We read the books as a whole group to teach us how to be more empathetic towards our peers. The book Autism is...? is an amazing book to get students to think about Autism and understand the way the brain works. Students use the highlighters to underline vocabulary words or key ideas in a passage. They are using all of the tools that were kindly donated. Thank you so much!”

The positive mindset books have so many resources and lessons for me to use this school year. The first activity that we did was the Mandala activity. Students loved creating their personal Mandala and reflect after they were done. They took their time thinking about patters to use as they colored each section of their Mandala. This particular activity took three days to complete because they wanted to make sure it represented how they felt. At the end of the activity they were encourage to share how it made them feel. They were all delighted to share and present their final piece to the class.”
