I teach art to K-5th grade. 80% of the population receives free or reduced lunch, which means they are primarily from a low income group. My students receive their primary exposure to the arts through the visual arts program at the school. Like most schools, technology funding goes to classroom teachers first, with the arts department and its students being left behind.
