Remember the sheer joy and eager anticipation of cracking the cover on a brand new book that you really wanted to read?! It’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it? Sadly, many of my students have never had that experience. My Native American students live in one of the poorest counties in the country. All of our students receive free lunch. But just like students everywhere, they adore diving into a good book. I am eager to be teaching 3rd grade at my school this year. With your help, we will be able to give students that joyful experience of loving new books.
