  • Supplies to Start off Smoothly

    Funded Nov 21, 2017

Thank you for funding my class project. My students were so excited when we received the pencils, markers and staple removers. They are extremely excited about the dry erase markers because they now have a variety of colors to use when coming up to work on the white board.

The pencils are also making them happy because since they are all black, we can easily identify which pencils belong to our class when they are "borrowed" by others. All of the supplies donated are helping the students work more independently and have motivated them to participate in whole group lessons.”

  • Instruction Any and Everywhere

    Funded Dec 9, 2015

Thank you all for your generosity to my classroom. The use of the peel and stick dry erase surfaces and the organizer are such an enhancement to learning in the classroom. Because of your contributions my students are able to work in smaller groups while receiving assignments and complete that work in different spaces throughout the room. They are also able to use the dry erase area to work through their problems, especially in math and show each other the steps used to solve. The best part for them is they can write on "the wall." Some students even choose to do art on the dry erase surfaces when they have choice time. The addition of the dry erase surfaces and organizer have made a HUGE impact on the learning in my classroom and YOU ALL are APPRECIATED!!!”

  • Think it Up, Print it Out

    Funded Sep 8, 2014

Thank you for your donation to our classroom. The students were very excited to receive your gift. The printer/copy machine has transformed the students into writers. Everyone is eager to write a story so they can have the chance to print it. It is somewhat mesmerizing for them. We also use the printer to print out student of the month pictures and they cannot wait to see which one of their pictures come out at the beginning of the month. Your generosity has truly motivated kids. Thanks for your contributions.”

  • Start Us Off Organized

    Funded Sep 11, 2013

Thank you so much for all of your generous contributions. Thanks to all of your help my students are able to practice their math facts individually on the wipe off folders and enjoy it. Not only are they able to work independently without complaints, they are asking for it. The tape has also helped us hang different posters on the blinds which were previously impossible to hang charts on without the aid of masking tape. Last the behavior management and literacy center organizers have really helped the students understand where they are supposed to be. They can self assess their behavior and identify which center they should be at. Again, thank you for all of you support to my classroom and students.”

  • Bring Us into the 21st Century

    Funded Jan 1, 2014

Thank you so much for all of your generosity. The kids love the computers. Thanks to all of you the students are actively using their Online reading program and they are all making progress. The laptops have given them a chance to experience reading in a whole new way. They are also getting more math practice from additional exposure. All of the students are eager to work on the laptops which I am extremely grateful for. They did exactly what I thought they would, motivate students to want to work. You have really made an impact with your donations.”

  • Make My Words Binding

    Funded Dec 24, 2011

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom. My students are not used to receiving much, so they were delighted by your generous donation. Upon receipt of the supplies came excitement and also the urge to write. Everyone became a writer so they could get a chance to publish using the binding machine, even those who were still unsure what a binding machine actually did. The binding machine is now an added incentive for my students which will continually motivate them to let out their creative side.”

  • Center My Students

    Funded Jan 10, 2011

Thank you so much for your recent donation to my class. All of the students really enjoy the center materials that were purchased thanks to your contributions. Center time is now the highlight of their day and they are always asking to "play" the games. Thanks to our new materials everyone has mastered alphabetical order and making compound words. The new materials have also given us practice with our social skills. We are now able to share and cooperate for longer periods of time in order to participate in the "games."

Again, the students are delighted to work with the new materials and are also learning at the same time. I am gracious for all of the focused energy and active engagement that they now have working during our literacy periods.”

  • TAG Your It

    Funded Nov 8, 2010

Thank you so much for believing in literacy education. The students are so excited to use the TAG readers and books that came along with it. Once we opened the box and they saw what it contained they were overjoyed. They kept asking me, "why would people who don't know us buy us these?" I told that there are people in the world who love kids and love helping them even more. They were just so amazed.

My students now use them during our center period in groups of four. Everyone is ecstatic about the day they get to use the TAG readers. The students enjoy being read to individually by the TAG readers and also like that they can also read unknown words.

Personally, I love that they are very simple for the students to use independently. They also are wonderful at keeping them focused on their own activity for the entire period. Thank you so much for helping my students, it is greatly appreciated.”

  • Let Us Paint the Town

    Funded Sep 13, 2010

Thank you so much. Once I received the packages my students were immediately excited. On Friday we opened them and began to use the paint, smocks and easel. Some of the students had NEVER painted before and I had to explain to them how to wear the smock. Two people were able to paint at a time for about 10 minutes each but if they weren't painting they were watching. What an opportunity you have given them. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. You would never think that something as simple as paint could change someones life but I cannot even begin to tell you how much they love it.”

  • Help Us Count

    Funded Apr 26, 2010

The students were so excited once the calculators arrived. I was constantly asked to see and hold them. While the students were opening the packages they were screaming across the room to each other in excitement. First, they were grateful that they all turned on. Second, they were all screaming about them being white and easily recognized as belonging to only our class. Third, the fact that it came with its own hanging organizer just left them in amazement. The students are loving the calculators. We have used them for about 12 lessons now and the students really are benefiting from the experience. They are now able to solve higher digit multiplication problems and actually check their answers when figuring out division problems. I cannot thank you enough for sponsoring our project. Even though it seems so simple you have really impacted these young students lives. Thanks again.”
