I teach kindergarten in a dual language classroom in a low socio-economic area. My students are expected to learn to read and write in two languages (English and Spanish). Literacy is the primary focus in my classroom. My students and I are very fortunate to have an extensive library and leveled books in both English and Spanish. We also have an English/Spanish language arts program.
