  • Giving My Non-Verbal Students a Voice!

    Funded May 21, 2023

My students and I cannot thank you enough for your tremendous generosity. I am beyond grateful for your kindness. I have the most amazing students and I cannot wait to see their faces when I let them know our project was funded. I am most excited for their learning. These materials will help me teach my non-verbal students comprehension skills. It will give me the data I need to further their understanding and prepare them for the world. Again, I cannot thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Valencia-Gill

    Funded May 11, 2023

My students and I cannot thank you enough for your tremendous generosity. I am beyond grateful for your kindness. I have the most amazing students and I cannot wait to see their faces when I let them know our project was funded. I am most excited for their learning. My students have a hard time recognizing and coping with their emotions. These tools will help me teach them how to recognize their feelings as well as teach them strategies to help them cope with them. These tools will also help create a safe place for them in the classroom. Again, I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Help Us Become Future Mathematicians and Scientists!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I am so excited to share with you the projects that my students have been working on. They have created presentations using Google slides. They do research for science projects. We are consistently working on project based learning where many of the subjects are integrated. They have also used the chrome books to create videos based on their narratives. It has been such a pleasure to see how much technology has helped in their learning. Having chrome books at the tip of their hands has been so much easier. We do not have to wait 2 weeks to be able to use a laptop. I thank you and your company for taking an interest in education and for helping students close the gap!”

    With gratitude,

  • Special Ed Students and Science: Help Us Close the Gap!

    Funded Mar 12, 2018

I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. My students have been able to create Power Point presentations and videos. They have been able to type out their reports. They have researched endless engineering concepts. They use the chrome books for Lexia as well. This reading program helps close the gap for my special education students. For most of my students, it was the first time they ever created something using technology. In a world where technology is key, YOU have opened that door for my kiddos. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Valencia-Gill

Having chromebooks will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. One way they will be used is as a STEM center. Students can look up pictures of catapults and then design their own using nothing more than Popsicle sticks, rubber bands, and Pom-poms. Another way they will be used is by recording the results of an experiment. Recently, we investigated how erosion works. Students could take pictures of their projects that represent erosion and record observations through notes. They could collaborate on group findings by sharing through the google classroom. I could download apps for various math practice skills for a math center, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students. My classroom is not yet at the level of technologically that I need to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more. Many of my students come from very low-income families. My students will research simple machines to help in their engineering projects. Help us become science engineers so that we become the generation that will help solve world problems.
