Many of my students live in a low income area and do not have many of the opportunities afforded kids from other parts of our city. Our elementary school was a year around school and at one time had an enrollment of 2,000 students. We have recently made great strides in achievement and want to continue. They are very inquisitive and enjoy learning, especially with theme based and cooperative assignments.
